Just watched the Graham Norton show with Jodie Turner-Smith AIBU or was she utterly obnoxious? Every single move she made was the sickly sweet looking at the camera for attention. Whenever any other celebrity has the spotlight she interjected and tried to bring the attention back to her. Her whole time on the show was pathetic acting for attention and extremely false.

Did anyone else see this or AIBU?

@ConnieHeart her eyebrows are unfortunately frozen with botox. I found it off putting. I find it really sad the pressure women are under to basically stay at age 25. 😔

I do find it funny that Lewis Capaldi came on the show in a hoodie, dropped the F bomb and C*nt within 30 seconds of sitting on the sofa but mumsnet are obviously clutching their pearls at an unknown actress basically being a bit too drunk, awkward and mostly quiet.
Fwiw I love Lewis' tongue in cheek approach but it's tedious at how much women and men are judged so differently.

Not only that but he asked if Jodie’s baby’s first word was “cunt”. She was visibly upset about that and said something about having breastfed her child for 3 years and that his first word was “mama”. I was really appalled by what he said and by the fact that everyone laughed about it when it so obviously distressed her.

What a fucking edgelord, saying that about a lady's baby.

Poor woman.

Did you watch the clip?
You understand the context, right?

If you go on a show like Graham Norton and everyone's drinking you gotta roll with the punches 👊 🤪

It made me laugh too but if I remember correctly the context was a previous conversation where he had sworn a lot within earshot of her baby bump so basically he was asking if the baby had learnt to swear from him. He wasn't saying anything derogatory and he wasn't calling her a cunt. I mean who knows what he was intending to say and what really the history is bw them but on the face of it I dont think anyone said anything offensive including jodie TS. It's an inane show with people talking about inane stuff. I don't think we need to analyse anyone's behaviour that closely.

I agree.
Some of these people fall over themselves to be offended on someone else's behalf. I don't think they even know the context in which it was said.

He’s not just tongue in cheek, he literally has Tourette’s.

All of this.

I look forward to my snooze.

From what I’ve seen, Margot Robbie knows how to behave and it would be hard to find someone more beautiful than her.

Margot is very attractive but her "ahh shucks", "gee how did I end up in Hollywood" self deprecating act gets on my nerves. She is incredibly ambitious, strategic & very PR savvy. I don't know why she has to downplay this.

I agree, but she has to downplay all of the things you have mentioned because she's a woman. Haven't you seen what they do to successful, talented women who don't pretend they feel just SO lucky? Men get to be ambitious and strategic; women just get called pushy and calculating.

Very odd behaviour. I wondered if she’d had a few drinks in the green room….?!

I thought she appeared drunk too

Beachtastic · 20/10/2025 21:38

I just watched it... to me, she just came across as very self-conscious, as you would be if you've had a lifetime of people staring at you.

She also has some odd mannerisms, like pointing at people she's talking to, or facing them in a very intense way. And a sort of dreamy sense of offhand humour, which I found quite funny.

I've known beautiful women who behave like this - it's a kind of tried and tested way of charming people, and who can blame them since I doubt anyone treats them normally!

Both things can be true. It's offensive to people with Tourettes to suggest they have no control over the words that come out their mouths ever.
