Just watched the Graham Norton show with Jodie Turner-Smith AIBU or was she utterly obnoxious? Every single move she made was the sickly sweet looking at the camera for attention. Whenever any other celebrity has the spotlight she interjected and tried to bring the attention back to her. Her whole time on the show was pathetic acting for attention and extremely false.

Did anyone else see this or AIBU?

She’s a dickhead who’s had a lot of concessions because of how beautiful she is.

I've stopped watching GN as normally I've only heard of one of the guests. Never heard of this woman and don't think she's that great looking but each to their own.

She was a bit odd, figured she was a bit pissed and probably a bit high. I thought the clip of Tron was awful though, is it meant to be set in the 80’s ? Seemed really crappy, like a 2.5 score on IMDB

I mean she’s a good looking woman but I’m not getting the adoration. My SIL is far better looking.

I saw the trailer in the cinema and figured it would be crap, so glad I didn't pay to see it.

Yeah this. I didn't notice odd behaviour until mumsnet pointed it out. I thought she was the quietest one on the sofa. I thought her chat with Lewis Capaldi at the end about her pregnancy on the previous Graham Norton show was hilarious and sweet. I did think she looked stunning, really striking.
The deleted children comments were definitely odd, misguided at best, rude at worst.
I can't help but wonder why women would take an immediate dislike to her without knowing anything about her... 🤔 🙄

Haaaaaaaaaaa I didn't notice when I watched that first time, at the start of that clip she's struggling to keep eyes open 😂 does give off drunk or high vibes. She seems lucid enough when she speaks later in the clip. I thought the abs chat between all the ladies was funny. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If I got abs suddenly in later life, I'd be telling everyone too.

There’s a particular sort of collective neck twitch that happens on Mumsnet when a woman is all three: stunning, successful and unambiguously Black. Commenters start qualifying their praise or picking apart tiny things, like they can’t quite process it.

They’re fine with mixed race or ethnically ambiguous Zendaya type beauty, but once it’s someone like Anok Yai or Jodie, the tone changes. Suddenly she’s “not that special”, or they start hedging the language, qualifying their admiration, or shifting the conversation to something else entirely. There was a thread about Anok earlier this year that went properly odd. Think I’ll try to dig it up.

They were all behaving oddly at one point, because they were supposed to be listening to her new single but couldn't because it hadn't been released yet, so they were all weirdly bopping along to some none existent tune, even Taylor looked embarrassed at the ridiculousness of it. She is not ridiculously beautiful either just a bit ridiculous like the rest of them, I love how Graham gives them the side eye, as if to say ffs, this is all a bit daft isn't it, some get it and play along some don't, most don't.
