Husband vaginal thrush treatment?

Hi all, wondering if you can help me with this…
I haven’t spoken to him about this yet because I’d like to actually know what you guys would do because I am rather impulsive and I am a little dramatic as well.

This morning I went to my husbands car to grab some ibuprofen out of his glove box ,I knew he had some because he keeps it for the gym and things. However I found a used vaginal thrush pessary (the rubbish) in the glovebox.

I haven’t had thrush recently. He hasn’t mentioned having it and that’s exactly the type of thing he would mention to me ,he’s not shy or anything but also why would he use a vaginal thrush medicine anyway? It was the combo one , the cream and the pill kind.

I'm very confused and anxious. Could it be that he is seeing a woman or am I jumping the gun ? Why on earth would he have that in his car and am I wrong to have looked in the glove box without telling him I’m gonna go to his car ?

How do I bring this up exactly with him.
We also have the life 360 app for the kids and he has had his location off for weeks now and I just assumed he had location off in general but now I’m thinking maybe he could be seeing someone ?

I don’t know. Please let me know what you’d say and do. Am I being dramatic or could this be a clue that he’s cheating which I’m kinda feeling like it is right now.

Id be going and photographing that pessary in situ (so he cant gaslight and say it wasnt there), then id straight forward ask him why there is a used vaginal pessary in his car. Simple and too the point, let him answer, see his immediate reaction, don't be tempted to fill the silence.

That’s been left by a woman and possibly deliberately for you to find.

If he gave a lift to a female work colleague or even a known female friend they are hardly going to leave something so personal in his car.

Catch him off guard and ask directly and wait and watch .

I wouldn't assume the worst. It can be used to treat various fungal infections. Does he have athletes foot?

I'd put it in a sandwich bag and when he gets home from work ask him to sit down with you and say you need to have a conversation with him. Then hand him the bag and see what he says. I actually think it's better than starting with a leading question, you have the element of surprise... see what his reaction is. E.g. if he says "What's that? Respond with "You tell me." If he says: "I don't know what it is, I've never seen it before." Respond with "Well it was in your glove compartment, so if it doesn't belong to you, who does it belong to?" Liars will tie themselves up in knots very early on. I hope there's a reasonable explanation, but it would seem unlikely, I'm sorry.

Athletes foot wouldn't require the use of a pessary that gets inserted in a vagina. Cream-yeah.

A used pessary?? Like it’s been inserted then removed? Or do you mean the packaging?

The actual stick/applicator as well as the packaging. As if someone has inserted it in the passenger seat I guess ,I didn’t touch it though ,ew

I would be doing digging in other areas before confronting him. Bank statements and phone records and I'd try to get a look in his phone/computer. Normally I am against snooping but I think in this scenario you have a clear reason and I personally would want to know what I'm working with before he knows you're on to him and has a chance to delete things and cover his tracks. If you have kids and life is in joined in that way then I think there's a certain limit to privacy. Your kids and yourself are your first priority if you think he's been having an affair.

I can't think of any reason why a woman would a) use that in a car or b) why he'd have it unless someone has intentionally left it for you to notice.

Why would you feel bad for looking in his glove box - that's a completely normal thing to do in the run of family life.

It is a pessary. Which goes in a vagina. How could you possibly think it would be any good for feet? Really, I despair.

He’s cheating.

Maybe he wet the pessary and rubbed it on his feet? Maybe buying the duo pack was the only option in order to get the Canesten cream 🤷‍♀️

@Laurawhitty94 well he doesnt have a vagina so there is no way it belongs to him and if it doesnt belong to his wife then the only other alternative is that it belongs to his girlfriend. no one carries a used applicator around and given given that it has been inserted, it is safe to presume that it has be inserted in your dh car!!!

A vaginal pessary is not used to treat athletes foot.

Do you have a teenage daughter @Laurawhitty94 ? That would the only other logical possibility.

If it's the pessary that's left.. maybe he's just used the cream for jock itch if he's a gym goer?
My ex used it for that.
But didn't buy the combi.. maybe your husband bought the combi by mistake.

I know a few men who have developed thrush on their skin from sweating at the gym, that's been resolved with cream.

Im so sorry OP but its very likely another woman has been intimately involved with your husband. If he's turned off his location, that supports the possibility he's cheating. Have you noticed anything else different with him recently?

If its another woman leaving a calling card...jesus, she could have left a lipstick the filthy cow. I'd be getting myself checked out for STIs to be on the safe side.

Im sorry OP. From someone who has been cheated on, stay cool even though you're raging. Think about the end game and what you want from this and work towards that.

I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but......

This sounds weird but was it definately used? Or did he get the box with the pessary and maybe just used the cream on himself?

Oh OP. I always say don’t jump to conclusions but at a loss with this one.

Don't start the mental gymnastics some posters are coming up with (athletes foot?!). It's a pessary for a vagina. It hasn't gone up yours so just ask him straight out.

As others say, don't be tempted to fill the silence. Wait him out. And if he gives you an obvious baloney story ask to see his phone.
