Husband vaginal thrush treatment?

Hi all, wondering if you can help me with this…
I haven’t spoken to him about this yet because I’d like to actually know what you guys would do because I am rather impulsive and I am a little dramatic as well.

This morning I went to my husbands car to grab some ibuprofen out of his glove box ,I knew he had some because he keeps it for the gym and things. However I found a used vaginal thrush pessary (the rubbish) in the glovebox.

I haven’t had thrush recently. He hasn’t mentioned having it and that’s exactly the type of thing he would mention to me ,he’s not shy or anything but also why would he use a vaginal thrush medicine anyway? It was the combo one , the cream and the pill kind.

I'm very confused and anxious. Could it be that he is seeing a woman or am I jumping the gun ? Why on earth would he have that in his car and am I wrong to have looked in the glove box without telling him I’m gonna go to his car ?

How do I bring this up exactly with him.
We also have the life 360 app for the kids and he has had his location off for weeks now and I just assumed he had location off in general but now I’m thinking maybe he could be seeing someone ?

I don’t know. Please let me know what you’d say and do. Am I being dramatic or could this be a clue that he’s cheating which I’m kinda feeling like it is right now.

My thoughts are he’s bought the combi for himself and thought the pessary was to be taken orally. Probably used the cream in the car because maybe it was so itchy he couldn’t wait and he discarded the applicator because he didn’t know what it was for. However why hasn’t he told OP that he has thrush if that’s the case? She would need to be treated also. I would definitely ask him in a calm way and watch his body language for any signs of deception

I don't think a woman would leave all the packaging in the car or insert a pessary in front of her affair partner unless he had a weird fetish for that sort of thing.

I think he's put the pessary up his bum (surely if you swallowed it, you'd be really ill??). Either for genuine medical reasons or again because of a fetish.

To me, it just feels like the most likely explanation.

Canesten is not just used for thrush. It is also used for ringworm, sweat rash and "jock itch".

I'm sorry but why would it be left in the car?

I can’t imagine what has even happened here because why would the applicator be there? Surely she’d have inserted it in a bathroom and disposed of it in the sanitary bin? Why would she insert it in the passenger seat whilst she had thrush? I have so many questions… I class myself as pretty open but I could never do that in front of my husband- IN HIS CAR.

My guess is he’s having an affair and the other woman has deliberately left something he cannot explain away as not belonging to a woman. A lipstick or an earring could be gaslit as you (or your daughters if you have one), or it even be explained he gave a colleague a lift and it fell out of her bag. This is much much harder for him to explain away because why would anyone even have that in their bag and not the bin.

Either that or he has thrush himself. When was the last time you had sex? Although surely if he’s swallowed it, he would feel unwell?

Cleared everything up in a matter of days, never used the pessary. Is it possible that the husband didn’t know what the pessary was and simply opened it?

But combine that with turning the location off? very suspicious.

He could have accidentally picked up the combo pack, used the cream on his feet, put tube in gym kit bag, and just tossed the pessary in the glove box. I think an innocent bloke wouldn't think about it. .

Groin fungal infection brought on by cycling and or gym. DH has had it on and off for years and uses Canesten.

I always thought (from what I’ve read on the Canesten website when I’ve needed treatment) that the cream just relieves the symptoms but doesn’t actually cure it. But that’s useful to know it helped clear it for you. I’ve got an opened tube left from when I just used a bit as part of the combo …have wondered how long the cream keeps when opened, ie if it’s worth saving for future use.

I do think that OP has a right to question / ask her DH.

Omg how are so many women this trusting? It’s designed for a vagina! If the pessary was still in the box I would think MAYBE he bought the cream and could only get it with the pessary. But most men would mention that they had athletes foot to their wife or thrush to their wife surely? They moan like hell when they’ve got any discomfort! I would be 90% sure this belonged to a woman and I can’t see any logical reason that a woman would be in your husbands car using thrush treatment and it be innocent.

I did exactly that. Asked for oral thrush treatment on holiday and the Greek pharmacist gave me the suppository. I opened the blister pack and thought 'wow, thats a huge pill' and swallowed it anyway. The fizzing in my throat and then the discovery of the applicator made me realise just how stupid I am.

Could you turn the tracker app back on on his phone?

my old gyno gave me canesten (just the cream) to clear up a yeast infection when I was about… 19? It worked perfectly well.

According to the information I’m looking at (on their website, in German) the cream is antimyoticc and may be used to treat skin and foot fungus, tinea inguinalis /jock itch, foot fungus and apparently also fungal diaper inflammation. It should “hinder the growth of fungi, destroy them and improve symptoms” <= translated from German.

But I’m guessing it might not be as efficient / might not work for severe cases? Edit: or there might be different formulations.

I think it's definitely another woman, and they've been seeing each other a while. They've had sex and she's got thrush and probably the sex has made the thrush much worse. She's asked him to stop somewhere for the treatment. He stepped out the car a moment while she was sorting herself out. She "binned" the rubbish in the glove compartment while your husband was waiting outside the car so he didn't even realise she put it there. She forgot she'd put it there as it's not her car and her problem was sorted.

How would you apply a vaginal pessary to your foot? Sellotape or string?

I think him taking the pessary as a tablet by mistake/opening it to see what it was is much more likely than an affair partner inserting a pessary to treat thrush in his car or leaving the packaging and applicator behind.

I also had the pharmacist give me canesten for a patch of skin in my arm. It can be for many things.

But seriously though, what man would go in and buy this without even mentioning it to their wife. There is another woman.

A wider thought- do you have any DC teenagers? Could it belong to one of them?
Get into the bank account, examine the washing for perfume, other washing powder, hair, make up. Get an STD test, consider all other options before asking him/ showing him the glove box contents

Yes do all this before asking him. Don’t forwarn him with a photo, give him a chance to explain himself face to face. I suspect that OP already suspects him of something though, quite apart from the Life360, because of going to check his car for Ibuprofen. We have ibuprofen all over the house but I appreciate not everybody does

I really struggle to believe that a woman would do that in the car full stop, let alone an affair partners car. That just seems so grim and unlikely

a man buying the wrong thing for an ‘intimate area’ problem…..that I can much more easily see
