Fucking flags

I know this has probably been done to death on here and there will be lots of threads about it already but I cant be bothered to trawl through the site for them so here I am.

I’m so irritated by the England flags popping up everywhere. There has been an influx put up in my area over the last week, it seems to be increasing by the day. I don’t hate the flag, but I hate the fact it is being used to send a clear message by racists. People aren’t doing it to be patriotic they are doing it to be hateful towards those that they don’t feel ‘belong’ in their country.

I don’t want to see all of these flags in my area. If people are entitled to put them up then why am I not entitled to go and cut the fuckers down? And don’t get me started on the spray painting of public roundabouts and road signage by people who allegedly love their country so much that they are vandalising it at the expense of public money.

If I see one more person give a ‘big well done to whoever has erected the flags on xyz street’ on Facebook I will explode. Does anyone else feel ragey over it?

Yes while our Easter celebration got cancelled so not to offend anyone but they still celebrate other religious traditions.

It's a lot like the people who put up the Palestine flag to intimidate Jewish people.

Love seeing them during the world cup and jubilees etc but right now they just look a state. They aren't being looked after so have already gone a dirty gray from the rain, mud and new build dust all over the place. I'm sad because I never expected to see this happening in my VERY multi cultural estate. My kids like seeing the flag but they get excited by the housing company flags so 🤷‍♀️. I'm quite embarrassed and I had no part in any of it. The worst thing is seeing people gloat about it on the local FB page

What about bunting? Union jack/St Georges Cross specifically? Coz I'm quite a fan of bunting, always reminds me of the Great British Bake Off and church tea parties etc and I get mine out regularly but I'd like to know if it's causing offence.

America has loads of flags flying on peoples property, you dont see them getting torn down. Yabu and quite frankly pathetic if a flag bothers you.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, I have far bigger problems in my life to worry about a few flags as does the country as a whole.

It's because he's inciting everyone else to do it that's why everyone is lumped in with him. Also it's flies not fly's - proud of my English language.

I know of a workplace that displayed the RoSPA flag , but the flagpole got blown down in a strong wind.😂

I live in a very white area and there are none. I went to another town last week - Burnley - and there was a union flag on every lamppost. Could draw a number of conclusions. I didn’t like it but at the same time can understand some sections of society feeling they aren’t being listened to.

A lamp post is public property and no one should be putting unofficial flags on it. It's not the same as choosing to put one in your garden. I've reported the road sign near me crudely vandalised with red paint.

You do realise the uproar is created by the media right? The media deliberately pushes an agenda which causes this mass hysteria. Notice how if a crimes committed by a white person they don’t specify their religion but they’re quick enough to mention Islam any other time. They want you to be angry and outraged at a non-story.
