ladies..just wondering..are you fed up of men posting on mumsnet..why don't they start their own "dadsnet/mansnet" group..im getting fed up of obvious "male" comments undermining our woman issues....quite honestly id like them to fuck off cos im not interested in their opinons on womanship

We mustn't leave the poor menz out!

Boomer55 · 05/09/2025 16:57

As long as they make it clear that they are male, I can’t see the problem. Different perspectives can be good.🤷‍♀️

The site is calked Mumsnet, but accepts childless women.

Muffinmam · 05/09/2025 16:58

I’ve noticed more men posting - which was never a thing years ago.

I’ve also noticed inappropriate posts concerning young children that should have been taken down by admins and were not.

I suspect the two are related.

Ever thought it may help women's causes if men actually have some kind of understanding of how women think?

But mumsnet has been around for 20 odd years and it hasn't made any difference to our causes. If men on mumsnet have gained an understanding of how women think over the past 20 years then it certainly hasn't been put to any good use so whats the point.

ilovesooty · 05/09/2025 16:58

As long as they're posting on issues where either sex can have a valid view, I couldn't care less.

Howldens · 05/09/2025 17:00

I actually find the rampant & open hatred of men the most depressing aspect of mumsnet.

broad hatred towards any single group is just thick as fuck.

It’s a place for women. There’s been a sudden uptick with not only men posting but inappropriate posts about chosen.

Redrosesposies · 05/09/2025 17:00

Well sometimes they are asking for help and/or a female perspective on a situation. I tend to take such posts at face value unless proved otherwise and despite men often being misogynistic twats, I do quite like them and am happy to throw my two pennorth in if I have something useful to add.
I'm not keen on the men who pretend to be women though.

Septemberisthenewyear · 05/09/2025 16:46

Nope. The tag line is ‘for parents, by parents’. I especially welecome Dads taking on the mental load of parenting.

This in spades. I’m a feminist who believes that men should take an equal parenting role and have equal parenting rights. Children thrive with a good dad. We should be encouraging them in their parenting.

Not so much the moaning when their wives are knackered and postpartum and they post on MN to whine about not getting their dicks wet but there is a young woman at work who is so much fun… 🙄 Those ones can fuck off.

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/09/2025 17:01

Not this again

Yabu. Men are just as much as entitled to a say just as much as you. Even if you don't agree with them.

So why is it called Mumsnet then
It's for mums
If it was for dads to it would be called parent net

TheNightingalesStarling · 05/09/2025 17:02

Mumsnet has never claimed to be a female only space. Men have always posted on here. It is foremost a parenting website.

What on earth is "womanship"?

Is it like the mothership before it spawns alien spacecraft?

Totally agree with this.

I have no problem with men using MN, how would you know if they didn’t say anyway?

Ah OK, so you've chosen a terrible man, who you refuse to leave. (I looove him wahh) and that entitles you to hate all other men. I see.

Rickyrainfrogcroaks · 05/09/2025 17:03

I don't see why men are on here ,I don't want their opinion,I'm sick of men ,
This should be a women only space

Digdongdoo · 05/09/2025 17:06

There is dadsnet. But not enough of them use, so it's easier for them to come here. Sums up dads really...

Oh they reveal themselves. You can tell. Male socialisation comes through in their language.

Of course other women don’t have each other’s back! Is this your first time on AIBU?! Women can be utterly vile to each other - I’m surprised you haven’t seen it.

Maybe use your words to say bye bye to this terrible person you're choosing to live with?

Plenty of us have chosen excellent men who support and cherish us 🤷‍♂️

TinyTempest · 05/09/2025 17:09

Written like a true bloke OP 😏

But it's been done a million times before.
