Cycling Mikey doesn't deserve the hate he's getting

He's not putting fumes in people's lungs from his car and sees people doing illegal activities that kill others or make our premiums go up.

He has done some good in the areas you've described. However, the stress and tension he creates with his aggressive taunting of drivers is dangerous.

It could cause a serious accident or other unfortunate incident.

How could he. He's not driving a vehicle, he's stationary, he's not the one breaking the law.

He goes out of his way to wind people up and cause problems, it’s his hobby. Do not fool yourself into thinking he does anything for a good cause. He is an antagonistic little man and I hope I never have the misfortune of encountering him.

Police officers who arrest criminals will still attempt to establish a rapport with most of them, despite actually having the authority to press charges. Cycling Mikey obstructs, belittles and distresses road users. He is going to cause an accident or provoke road rage.

He has no authority. His persona is that of a petty busybody and is likely to suffer the consequences, one way or another.

Doesn’t change my view. He’s what I would call a jobsworth, but worse as it’s not even his job. He just goes looking for trouble, and tries to wind people up, it’s not necessary at all. He’s obviously making money off his TikTok. Even his voice makes me angry. Vile creature.

I’d never heard of him until DH watched a you tube programme about him at the weekend. He seemed rude and inflammatory. It’s the Police’s job to look out for law breaking not some random man’s.

Also he was shoving his camera in to people’s vehicles which is not OK.

Agree with PP that at some point something will happen to him.

Presumably the people that dislike him are the same ones who object to speed cameras, i.e the ones that break the law

I would have thought statistically more accidents are caused by drivers using mobile phones than by one possibly antagonistic man on a bike?

Brass neck cheeky fuckers, like people who drive on the wrong side of the road, endangering lives to save a few seconds, spend their lives getting away with it because they’re not called out. And people who kill cyclists, pedestrians and children on the roads aren’t the type who are normally careful considerate drivers. They’re the type who think their time is SO much more important than everyone else’s. Cycling Mikey is doing the work to protect people. I can’t imagine why anyone would be annoyed by that.

He is a fucking idiot. I have nothing against speed cameras, all for them in fact. I’m a firm rule follower.

I have no problem with people submitting footage from head cam or dashcam to their local police force, as far as that side of what he does I think it’s not unreasonable. I do have a problem with him standing in the middle of the road ordering motorists to go back. He’s got the footage of the driving offence, just submit it, it’s not his responsibility to redirect traffic. His YouTube videos are monetised so he benefits financially from the confrontations so he’s not completely doing it for the altruistic reasons he suggests.

That's why I couldn't do it, I'm not a people person and wouldn't wield power lightly. I'd be more police by baton than police by consent. It's something I recognise in myself, I'm a stickler for the rules and would like everyone else to be too. Hence I've never had the desire to put on a uniform.

Maybe cycling mikey needs to pause and dabble in a little self reflection as to understand why he acts in the way he does. It sounds like he's doing more harm than good.

User1786, you couldn't be more wrong. I use public transport when have to travel, I have a disability preventing me from driving.

What I dislike about his behaviour is the way that he deliberately provokes people going about their daily lives. I dislike bullying and dangerous behaviour, which is exactly what he engages in. Most of us have enough going on in our lives without some contemptible busybody patrolling the roads.

I hope he's arrested for breach of the peace.

I suspect his actions will be his downfall, as I have said.
