Do Teddies have kids who struggle academically?

Hello All,

Just seeing if any current parents can tell me if the vast majority of kids at Teddies thrive academically. I have heard this from current parents and students.

My ted is unfortunately a Bear of Very Little Brain but I love him all the same.

Bitzee · 03/07/2025 18:42

🤣😂 loving some of these.

OP you need to start a thread under boarding or private school. But I do think it’s supposed to be on the up and much harder to get into than it once was.

CaptainMyCaptain · 03/07/2025 18:42

🤣

I bet he's very kind and caring, even if he isn't academic.

PersephoneSeethes · 03/07/2025 18:45

Sorry, OP. You mean St Edwards (Teddies) Oxford? From what I have heard from the traps, there is little to no SEN support at the school and is aimed at strong, vibrant all-rounders.

Does that help?

RefreshingMist · 03/07/2025 18:46

My sons teddy can't even get a girlfriend (probably because he needs a good wash) so thoughts of children are just a pipe dream for now

My Teddy identifies as a male, even though he lacks a penis.

But which toilet does he use? Or does his just do his business in the woods?

Old school Ted…

Everydayimwingingit · 03/07/2025 18:47

The teddies that are residing in my kids rooms, do not appear to be very smart as they keep getting lost and don't seem to organise their own teddy bears picnics so I highly wouldn't recommend them

Blobbitymacblob · 03/07/2025 18:48

Mine has only been in school once, for the end of term, bring a toy to school day and I would have to admit he didn’t distinguished himself academically.

The Class Bear on the other hand was definitely a high achiever judging by the arrant nonsense record of his adventures when he stayed the night with each student.

SnowyPetals · 03/07/2025 18:49

The ones you make yourself in Build a Bear are very clever because you can stuff in extra brains.

All my teddies are really smart and one of them (the koala) even wrote a song.

😂😂😂

It's the Pope that shits in the woods, but I'm not sure if Teddy has a religion

MayaPinion · 03/07/2025 18:55

I AM SICK TO THE BACK TEETH OF POSTS ABOUT FURRIES. THEY’RE NO SMARTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

Delphiniumandlupins · 03/07/2025 19:00

We have so many soft toys that I swear they're breeding. No evidence that they're struggling academically and a few have been to university - only one per DC.

2dogsandabudgie · 03/07/2025 19:00

I heard that Nookie Bear had lots of kids (showing my age there).

MsFogi · 03/07/2025 18:11

Oh dear lord why do private school parents think that everyone knows and cares about their school!? Seriously - they all end up at the same universities!

😂😂😂
This made me laugh so much because it's so true 🤣! Of course we should all know what Teddies is!

They set traps?! Oh my god. That's tough schooling, even for soft toys.

Maybe that’s why it’s safer to stay at home.

They have growlers though.

I have moved to an area who call pork pies growlers it caused many confused conversations where people were talking about eating massive growlers which then lead to many laughs once I understood what they were talking about.

Thoughts and prayers 🙏.
I have a Snoopy who always scores quite well on University Challenge.

Naughty Ted — pissed about for three years at uni, now spends his days on the checkout dicking about.
