Still vote Labour?

After one year of Labour rule, if you could go back in time and vote again, would you still vote the same.

i voted Tory, and still would, although I also thought change was good, and I was genuinely excited to get a breath of fresh air in number 10, I had quite high hopes.

im now depressed that we are very probably going to get Reform in 4 years.

would you vote differently?

Too soon to say. Blair had almost exactly the same rebellion over welfare early in his first term. Would never vote Reform or Tory.

EveryDayisFriday · 02/07/2025 07:32

I voted Labour, I'd do it again. I like this Labour govt.

I hate that the media are giving the monkeys at Reform a platform. They should be giving Lib Dems a voice before Reform but they are really pushing their agenda and it's unbearable.

Unbearable 😆 🤣 😂

MissyB1 · 02/07/2025 07:35

I voted Lib Dem, but wouldn't have minded some kind of Lib Dem/Labour coalition. But Starmer's Government have been a disappointment so far, weak leadership and they feel too "Tory" for me.

hattie43 · 02/07/2025 07:37

I’ve never voted labour and never will . They’ve always proved themselves incompetent.

Joystir59 · 02/07/2025 07:37

Yes, I'd definitely vote Labour again.

What's so funny about pushing racist ideals? Hate isn't where we should be in 2025.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 02/07/2025 07:39

I honestly feel the same. They are too captured by people with extreme ideologies to get anything done. All they do is fight internally and spin in circles while the country continues to raise taxes and raise taxes. It’s exhausting.

Planesmistakenforstars · 02/07/2025 07:39

Yes, I'd vote Labour again without hesitation.

Lins77 · 02/07/2025 07:39

I voted Labour and would do so again.

I don't like any of the alternatives.

Tell the tech oligarchs as social media has ensured there’s never been so much hate and less ability to debate than right now.

scalt · 02/07/2025 07:41

Yep. For the moment, “boring and sensible” politicians get my vote, not Cheshire Cat grinning clowns like Blair, Johnson and Trump who promise miracles and the moon on a stick.

Yes, Starmer has no charisma, but after Johnson, I never want “charisma” again. He’s also poor at communicating, and telling us what his government is doing right, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. Reform are still posturing from the position of never having been in government, so they can spout rubbish which sounds great, but has no basis in fact. “All this can be yours if you will kneel and worship me.”

Sunshineandrainbow · 02/07/2025 07:43

Yes I would....

Is there really a chance reform would get in? That's scary shit

Viviennemary · 02/07/2025 07:43

No I won't vote Labour again. They are useless even with their huge majority. I won't go back to voting Tory and I am not voting lib Dem or Green. Doesn't leave a lot of choice.

LotteryLoser9 · 02/07/2025 07:44

If you're a Tory you should be more than happy with this shitshow. Iwishicouldflyhigh

I can't vote, but if l could I'd vote libdem if I had a chance. So disappointed in Labour, they could have done so much good.

Reform can fuck off, not sure how the nation has already forgotten about UKIP and the steaming pile of shit that was Brexit.

Yogabearmous · 02/07/2025 07:45

I would never vote labour again. They are an embarrassment.

Guavafish1 · 02/07/2025 07:48

Previous labour voter…. Never again

Racist? Incorrect, lazy, but incorrect.

I’ve never voted labour and never will . They’ve always proved themselves incompetent.

We had 14 years of incompetence!

Austerity, Brexit, Covid... how many elections? how many PMs? how many ministers? How long NHS waiting lists? How many on benefits? How many waiting for their day in court? Even slashed defence spending and law and order..... Lowest productivity in Europe.

Short memory syndrome.

Starmer has been in for 1 year, inherited a total mess and has had to try and fund an annual £10 billion loss n tax revenue because Hunt cut NI with no idea how to pay it......

Starmer said it would take 10 years to turn around the country but people think these problems can be addressed iinsde 12 months.

Thecardboardbox · 02/07/2025 07:51

There would have to be a whole new Labour Party for me to vote for them again. The current PLO don’t have the analysis or ideas, or even coherence, to improve the country.

The current is in a real mess, so many really deep problems, but none of our parties have the caliber of leadership or politicians to sort it out.

Definitely not happy. I want this country to be prosperous and I want to feel excited and energised about the future, I felt that briefly after the election, now I just feel like we are all wading through cow shit in leaky boots.

I’m not sure I’ll be voting Labour in the next election due to their policies regarding disability and sickness and KS island of strangers bollocks mostly. I’m also frustrated with the how our government are responding to the genocide in Gaza. If they turn things round though…

No idea who I’d vote for instead. Wouldn’t vote Tory or Reform if my life depended on it. Would have to wait and see what Green, Lib Dem and Plaid Cymru have to say. Or spoil my ballot paper. Is the Monster Raving Loony party still a thing?

Starmer said it would take 10 years to turn around the country but people think these problems can be addressed iinsde 12 months.

It’s not that people expect it to be sorted in a year. It’s that people think him and his ministers aren’t having the ideas that will sort it in a decade plus. Or ever. They think his government's ideas either won’t help or will make things worse.

I don’t know what the solutions are, but I do think for recent legislative pushes, the government has shown they have not understood what is causing the issue, so their solutions won’t work. This does not give me hope.
