Anyone else? I tuned in last night and couldn't believe how bad it was! 1975 was headlining and it was so middle or the road.

Maybe I'm getting old but the music was awful!!! So bland. Im early 40s 🤣

What are your thoughts?

I went to Butlins in the 70s. This looks a lot more fun to be honest !!

All of the great artists are old or dead.
Glastonbury as an event has to keep going as a cash cow, but it is hard to justify ticket prices for the line-ups they have now.
And the odd 'controversial' act sticking on some balaclavas and an Irish flag is about as middle-class as it gets. Kneecap probably shop at Waitrose.

I laughed like a drain when I discovered that the real name of the Macc Lads' lead singer, alias Muttley McLadd, was .....Tristan.

😂

Hmmm, horrid of me I know but would love to see Kneejerk and Bob Vinyl in hand-to-hand combat with Hamas.

callmej · 28/06/2025 18:15

Standing in a burning hot field with a bunch of unwashed bigots... not for me, thanks.

SerafinasGoose · 28/06/2025 18:15

SweetcornFritter · 28/06/2025 17:33

You’ll be standing in the field on your own then (apart from a few sheep maybe). It’s not on next year.

Sounds idyllic. I might go!

Bbq1 · 28/06/2025 18:16

I listen to emerging metal bands among other genres so I don't need any botox for ny ears! Nor do I have grey hair or wrinkles! Not liking much of what is televised is the only way I can judge the calibre of the acts. You couldn't give me a free tkt for Glastonbury but each to their own. Just off out to a gig where the band my son is in is headlining.

What a lot of moaners!

We are British, for Pete's sake. It's what we do!

I imagine it would just look very much like they're shaking hands.

No we don't want anyone trampled to death.

Surely though, surely if one can understand the need for rules and protocols for their fun times they can understand rules and regulations are needed for borders and immigration too? I know it's stretch to think they may be able to process such complex information.

You're quite persistent at labelling those who hold different opinions to you as thick. It's quite ironic considering it was 'The Left' who apparently alienated so many by doing exactly this during the debates about Brexit. They're not thick. They just don't agree with you, and are entitled to crowd control in exactly the same way as football, tennis and rugby fans, concert goers and attendees at Reform conferences.

I don't think what hamas do using civilians as human shields is ok at all, no. Either debate or ignore me, your 'pipe down' is as rude as your other deleted comment.

Chanting for deaths and glorifying terrorism is completely unhinged and disgusting...people just never ever learn

And filled with Yazidi girls taken as sex slaves

I love Glastonbury on the TV. Can pick and choose who to watch, fantastic view, no standing at the back on tiptoes and not seeing anything. Absolutely loving Alanis Morissette. Looking forward to Olivia Rodrigo tomorrow night. I was in Hyde Park and saw her last night which was fun, but I honestly think I’ll enjoy it more on the TV tomorrow. I haven’t ever been to Glastonbury but every time I see it. I just think there are too many people. I’m getting old. Would love to see Orla Gartland though and she’s not on a big enough stage for the TV so if you’re there in real life there are all sorts of things going on that we don’t know about from the BBC.
