Hot weather.

Anyone else just want this hot weather to fuck right off? I've had enough of it already and apparently we're in for at least another 2 weeks of it. 🤬 I'm made out to be a killjoy when I say I'm not enjoying it. Does everyone else really love it,or are they just saying it for fear of being thought odd (like me!).

I popped out to Sainsbury's which is 2 minutes away. Took a cold drink with me and had to sit down twice as I felt sick and dizzy

Honestly what a load of whingers. Just enjoy the sunshine and dry weather. We are in the gloom of rain and cold long enough.

Got in from work yesterday at 5pm ( work outside). Put my shorts ,top, and pjs on a fast wash. Hung out. By 9pm all dry !

This beautiful morning, shower ,put on the yesterdays stuff in 2 minutes, smelling of summer. Trainers. Jump in car - total 10 minutes

Winter. Spend 10 minutes rooting round in the evening for a clean long sleeved top, a top, a jumper because they are still all
muddy in the basket or drying somewhere. In the dark cold morning have a hot shower, freeze getting out because the house hasn’t warmed up. Try to find extra tops because it’s minus 1 now. Put on thin socks for one pair of boots plus thick socks for the wellies. Find a scarf. Find matching gloves. Yesterdays stuff is still on radiators .Decide between the thick warm coat or the more waterproof coat with a hood because it might rain. Try and fit in the car - take half off because it’s too warm. Get blinded by lie sun. Get soaked putting coat back on once at work…

I LOVE SUMMER

It's currently a breezy 22 degrees here.

29 here! I enjoy the weather but don’t sit in it. Made a meal of cous cous( boiled kettle) with herbs and feta and marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer so as not to add any extra heat. Now I’m sitting in the shade. Will walk dog when it’s a bit cooler. Cool showers before bed and sleep with the fan on.

Hate anything about 25. So hard to concentrate at work.

No worries Going to fill my fourth bath later. Hope the eco warriors are OK with that

Social housing. No shower. And if i was to mention i wanted one i would be called entitled so............thems the breaks 😐

Do you have a mixer tap? You can get a metal valve thing that just screws onto a tap, then you just add a shower head and hose.
The shower head can be fixed with a screw on suction clip if you can’t drill into the tiles.

I love the sunny weather, but at this time of year I get the most awful hay fever and it makes my sinuses hurt. And I've got an itchy heat rash on my forearms where they caught the sun today.

Apart from that, I really like it.

Why do schools there have these ridiculous rules? Having to wear a blazer in hot weather is just madness.

How can it possibly be hotter inside your house than outside with air con running?

I just spent the last 2 days at the tennis in Nottingham and the sun was unbearable - I resorted at one point to going and locking myself in a toilet cubicle for 15 minutes to cool down and enable me to cope with the heat. I look like a cooked lobster this evening.
And I'm going home tomorrow to a garden which will be desperately needing watering but I'll struggle to do it because the outside tap is currently out of action due to work being done on the house.

So I'm afraid I'm a Jonah who could see the hot weather far enough!

You really can't laugh off heat like that and yes it's gaslighting to make people feel wrong for being uncomfortable and also for being quite concerned.

I'm not sure where you are but it's been really close where I am over the last few days. We could do with a big thunder storm 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😁

I hate it. Going to a fancy wedding at the weekend and there'll be no air con. Dreading it.

I love it, its only spoilt by having to go to work!
My dog is less than impressed at no walk as soon as I get home, but she has company and access to the garden all day, she will survive!

There are significant temperature differences around the UK, so I don't think posters are gaslighting because it simply hasn't been that hot where they are.

I spent today in Lincolnshire where it was about 5 degrees hotter than where I live in South Yorkshire.

Absolutely fucking boiling in my neck of the woods. Over the weekend I will enjoy it, but during the working week with chores, school runs, homework, lunchboxes, kids clubs and all the other week day crap on top of a 9-5 is just unbearable. I’ve been a miserable git tonight and feel I may owe dp a slight apology tomorrow
