(Lighthearted) My parents spare room is really hot, so I asked if they had a thinner blanket. I said I like to be covered as the monsters will get me. She says that’s rubbish!!

I couldn't sleep without being covered, even if its really hot. In summer I just have a sheet over me. I didn't realise it was to keep the monsters away though !

You absolutely are right although I do find a decent quality sheet is effective at holding the monsters at bay
it’s how to stop them nibbling your toes that’s always my worry

YANBU - the monsters will definitely be jumping out of the wardrobe to get you when the lights go out if you don’t get that blanket.

Although FYI you can hang you knee out to get a bit cooler and the monsters won't get you so long as your foot is still under the covers.

My dad says monsters only get you if you are five.

I'm 51 and always sleep under something (if only a sheet) for this reason.

In 51 years I've never been attacked by a monster so it obviously works.
