we all knew it was coming, its very bold but as you say they don't do things without thinking about it at least a bit. Presumably the Israelis judge that attempts to bring Iran in from the cold with a new deal both ties their (Iran's) hands and closes the window for violence - so its a great time to do this sort of thing

The Israeli government have been emboldened to think that they can attack anyone, such as those in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria with impunity. So why is there surprise at their latest actions in Iran?

The current right wing, despicable Israeli government led by the warmonger Nethanyahu, who continues to cling to power by directing the starvation, shooting and bombing of totally helpless women and children in Gaza who are blockaded in a war zone with absolutely no where to go, have no morals or humanity left.

I know there are a number of Israelis that can see that their government is making Israel a pariah state. But until others in Israel and their supporters around the world can stop deflecting justified concerns, criticisms and challenges to the Israeli governent's heinous actions with the spurious, unjustified shouts of "but you are being anti semitic" they will continue to attack others without fear of consequences so long as they have the backing of Trump's US government and other right wing, nationalist governments.

No offence but I wouldn't trust mossad & could see Israel (government) pressing on as a sign that they're willing to risk there supporters like being put on the spot with having to help them if necessary or willing to sacrifice there lower down soldiers lives for the bigger cause if they have to

Trump reached out to Iran for talks which are ongoing trying to avert conflict yet you blame him for Israel attack on Iran and claim they gave his backing. Iran were playing hard ball and dragging the talks while continuing to insist that they will continue to build their nuclear weapon.

I don't agree with how Israel has handled the Gaza conflict after the Hezbollah attack but stop trying to paint the Iranian government as an innocent government, they are evil.

They have been striking Iran for over a year. I doubt Iran will do anything in return that’s impactful. This will all blow over.

This is very bold, but quietly expected. Iran have been doing all they van to support Hanss both with funding and manpower. Inflaming tensions in the region for years.

This was entirely orchestrated by the Axis of Disorder - it was a coordinated attack on the west at the beginning. Russia invaded Ukraine ( Thar was not the instant success they expected) they were supposed to be in Moldova by now, with Ukraine done and dusted.

The tensions were planned for Israel to blow that situation sky high, so US resources would be stretched.

Inam now wondering what China intend to do. This has not gone to plan. Will they just step away or will the next stage happen?

As a society we need to be aware that we are at war. The world order is being tested. When you see what’s actually happening here, it is far bigger than it first appears. This is a direct challenge to western dominance, as they see it.

If Israel were intending to hit Iran's nukes why are there, what look like, residential buildings being hit? Are the nukes using Iranians as human shields?

Apparently Israel is targeting scientists as well as military and nuclear installations. Perhaps this means, by hitting their houses/homes? Neighbourhoods?

Seems that there’s two schools of analysis emerging this morning:

1. Netanyahu is headstrong and untameable, and has broken ranks with Trump
2. The strikes on Iran reflect a convergence of Trump’s and Netanyahu’s interests
