Agreed. I bought once before they were very popular, it took months to arrive and was a load of cheap badly fitting tat....realised from the postage and sizing they were Chinese and poor quality and vowed never to use them again.

Despite being in my fifties and never having ordered from Shein, Temu, BooHoo or Nasty Gal in my life, when I search for 'white top' this is all i get.

Why?

I thought all ads were meant to be profiled? I thought every site was tracking my browsing habits and selling my profile to companies so that they could target me effectively, not serve up black rubber shorts and lycra hotpants!

Ive never heard of Shein until today when I searched for harem trousers. I clicked the link on Google and the website was like some kind of AI gone wrong - alongside harem trousers it was showing me fishing bait 😳

If you search with the exclude ‘minus’ sign ( - ) it used to work. So to exclude Shein and Temu results, you would add -shein -temu after your search term.

But Google has acknowledged that using the exclusion doesn’t work on shopping sites 😖. They are working to fix it (and have been FOR MONTHS according to some posts on their forums) so annoyingly we’re stuck with the dodgy exploitative crap.

Maybe try using the exclusion on a different browser?

You realise that’s only possible because they use slave labour? Someone has had to pay for your glut of cheapo dresses.

Why? Because they pay for their crap to appear high up in searches. It feels impossible to escape!

I was just whinging about this the other day!
I'm desperate for some coolish dresses to wear to work and it's all I got.
I know the basically dominated Google Ads because they have the cash to spend on marketing but it's too much. I always get temu on my tiktok and social media too. I've never bought from there before!

WTF, this should have been bigger news. How can they still be in business after this report?! I've never bought off them (or Temu) and after reading that I'm very glad I haven't.
