I bought my DS a £12 Easter egg and I’ve gobbled up most of it, as he’d forgotten about it. I gave him the cheap ones as I was enjoying the expensive one. Disgusting behaviour I know… 😳🫣

I'm sure he got loads from other places. He'll be grand!

littlemissprosseco · 23/04/2025 19:27

🤣🤩

shellyleppard · 23/04/2025 19:30

I always end up eating my sons ones 🤣🤣

Bumble2016 · 23/04/2025 19:35

This is what's called self-care and it is entirely deserved! 😁

olympicsrock · 23/04/2025 19:38

“Sharing’s what it’s all about”
That’s what my darling late sister- in -law used to say to her babies …
A good motto for Easter eggs and life in general .

UpsideDownChairs · 23/04/2025 19:44

I bought myself an egg, and my two kids one each, and we've all eaten our own - think of it as buying yourself an egg if he has plenty of others!

SocksShmocks · 23/04/2025 19:46

I used to do this. They always had plenty / too many eggs. Wouldn’t get away with it now they’re older.

Workingonthehighway · 23/04/2025 19:46

I housesat at my daughters a few years ago just before easter she had already bought the kids eggs I ate and replaced them 3 times in a fortnight 😂

Olika · 23/04/2025 19:46

Don’t feel bad! 😁 I got tons of Easter eggs from a holiday, I had eaten them all before Easter.

CeeJay81 · 23/04/2025 19:49

Your def not the only person who's done that. I've also helped mine eat their eggs too lol.

Vinvertebrate · 23/04/2025 19:49

The egg my DS got on Sunday was the third identical one I had actually purchased for him. 🫣

BobbyBiscuits · 23/04/2025 19:50

You're doing him a favour. Looking out for his diet, dental and gut health! Lol.
Frame it that way and it's good! I don't think wee kids really appreciate posher chocolate. They just wanna get buzzed off the sugar!

Hope it was better than my bloody Waitrose pistachio egg. 5% total pistachio content. £17. Not gonna get that again! 🤣

ChateauMargaux · 23/04/2025 19:53

I regularly have to replace the mini marshmallows I keep for hot chocolate!!

MarkingBad · 23/04/2025 19:56

I bet you appreciated it more for tasting the copper in it!

Mmhmmn · 23/04/2025 19:58

Chocolate eggs’ll do that to a person. You’re doing him a favour really, you’ll probably metabolise it better than a child would anyway .. something something 😂

Lauz841 · 23/04/2025 20:03

I deliberately buy my children my own favourite easter egg, because they like the idea of Easter and have fun on the day but don't really like chocolate so never ask for the egg again! 🙈

MidnightPatrol · 23/04/2025 20:05

I’ve eaten all the chocolate eggs given to my toddler, as I don’t let them have chocolate.

I do not feel bad about this.

outerspacepotato · 23/04/2025 20:09

You snooze you lose.

😂

Glitchymn1 · 23/04/2025 20:10

Despicable. 🤣

CreationNat1on · 23/04/2025 20:12

12 hail Mary's and 1 our father. Bless you child, you are forgiven.

Olderkids · 23/04/2025 20:13

I know someone who carefully removes one half of the egg, wraps it all back up and has convinced her children that this is how Easter Eggs are. Genius!

Clevesian · 23/04/2025 20:17

Fantastic work. I am standing to applaud you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I hope you make this an annual tradition-treat for yourself.

BoarBrush · 23/04/2025 20:20

You filthy animals!

My kids pick their own and would absolutely know if I snaffled even a square of theirs, so I just buy my own.

Thisismetooaswell · 23/04/2025 20:22

More fool you(or whoever it was) for paying £12 for an easter egg

Tortielady · 23/04/2025 20:23

Was it a Lindt egg? If so, don't worry. It's a well-known fact that they can't be properly appreciated and enjoyed by anyone too young to remember when the year started with a 1.😁
