DH will no longer do joint posts on Instagram

As per the title - Easter Sunday is off to a dreadful start with ‘D’ H and I already having had an argument.

Some background, we have individual insta’s but for any major ‘announcements/events’ as such we will use the collaboration feature so the post appears on both our grids. Think engagement, wedding, pregnancy-gender reveal/birth, anniversary etc.

It’s our DD’s first Easter so I’ve got her a brilliant outfit, some props and of course eggs. I’ve also got a personalised sort of sign which says it’s her first Easter.

I said to H I’ll get the photos done after breakfast and we can joint post. He says it’s stupid to do this and doesn’t warrant all the effort as it’s ’only Easter’ so he won’t be putting it on his grid.

AIBU to feel pissed off with him? It will look strange if it’s only on my page.

I promise you no-one looking at your insta will even register that he hasn’t posted about your DC’s easter outfit, let alone think it is strange.

Of all things to have an argument over this is what you go for?

You sound shallow, wanting to project your ‘perfect’ life but the reality is that you’re arguing with your husband. Why don’t you put an honest post up about the argument? You won’t because you want people to see a filtered version of your life. It’s Easter, not a significant event in any child’s life. A personalised sign? They saw you coming 😂

It will look like what it is. It’s an important part of the day for you to have a carefully staged insta post involving your daughter and it isn’t important to him and in fact he would prefer not to.

Since it’s your position that involves effort and deviation from the mean why do you think he should do what you want?

@Whatslovegottodo25 if this is real…take my advice and get rid of the instagram etc, honestly, life is much easier and freeing without it! I promise!

Oh dear. Not sure which bit to 🤦🏼‍♀️over. The joint insta or the Easter outfit or the fact it’s caused an argument. My DH doesn’t even do socials, my
kids will chose their outfits today (ok they are older). My life must be pointless.
