Do you wipe your bottom standing up or sitting down?

Well, I thought this was an entirely uncontroversial topic, but my DH has discovered (through a conversation) that I stand up to wipe my bottom after going to to the loo.

Do you, for whatever reason, do the same? Or are you a sitter and you lean either forwards or to the side?

I feel as though there are multiple reasons to stand, perhaps you have mobility issues, a larger body, or it is simply your preference (like me).

Please tell me that at least some of you do this and I am not entirely abnormal!!

Oh I do drink a load of water every day. Maybe that's what it is.

Well this is likely TMI but I do need to see the consistency etc as it varies all the time. Comes of having chronic constipation as a young one I think.

@justtheonequestion1it has music, a drying function, heated seat, water pressure options. It’s great.

I am fairly tall for a woman and don't have short arms, think I am just stiff, which is why it is too uncomfortable to twist in that way

I am glad! Parts of it have made me belly laugh too (even though that was very far from my intention when I started it). DH has also been working from home here and has wondered what has been going on. Some of the comments have been very amusing indeed

I’ve never ever considered sitting. Wouldn’t your hand potential touch the toilet bowl?
I’ve always stood and never thought anything of it!

I wonder if any of the people who are unable to wipe sitting down have tried one of the nifty bottom wipers that are available from Amazon? 😆

Always a stander. It’s more a skiing position that standing up straight, but us standers are in a very small minority, I thinking sitting is weird and unhygienic.

I sit youngest ds stands and puts his foot on the seat I'm not asking the other two they are rather private and would be mortimer ds isn't private he rarely closes the door hence how I know how he wipes!

That is quite funny! How old is your youngest DS? a child or teen / adult?

Lifelong stander here - staying sitting just seems really awkward - I really can't get my head around those saying that standing 'limits access' - I would have thought that is more of an issue sitting down.

Also, all the mentions of "mushing it in" etc. 😬You all need a lot more fibre in your diets - whilst I always, obviously, wipe, most times I don't actually need to, it's always completely clean. Fibre people, fibre!! 😁
