AIBU to feel it’s inappropriate to have “Dynamite”, who is a skimpily-dressed gladiator on a kids’ show?

She appears on segments of the new series, IMO flirting with the handsome twin Black doctors, Raph and Dan, calling them “boys”. It just seemed sexualised to me.

I’ve attached a picture of her, this is how she dresses on the show.

She just looks like an athlete. Cannot see an issue with this.
Can't comment on the "flirting" as I've not seen it. Was there anything more than just calling the doctors "boys"? That doesn't sound remotely sexual to me.

She is a strong, healthy young woman wearing similar attire to that of many Olympic athletes

YABVU. Stop being a prude. She is in athletic clothes. The gladiators are made to wear their costumes at all public events and tv appearances like this. It's all about the branding and getting the show out there.

She looks fine! It's what she wears on Gladiators of a Saturday evening. For goodness sake, don't ever let your kids watch the Olympics, the athletes are dressed in equally 'skimpy' clothes.

I wouldn’t call that “skimpily clad” either. The leotards in the original show were way more revealing. That just looks like sport/swimwear.

All of the Gladiators dress in lycra. Wearing the costume is promoting the show and also helps give little kids the context they need to recognise her. I don't think Dynamite is doing anything wrong or sexual. Saying "boys" to the doctors - sorry, to the handsome Black doctors - would probably be scripted rather than flirting.

I think the Gladiators are great role models for kids - would far rather have my kids watch Dynamite than some of the awful YouTubers out there!
