AIBU to feel it’s inappropriate to have “Dynamite”, who is a skimpily-dressed gladiator on a kids’ show?

She appears on segments of the new series, IMO flirting with the handsome twin Black doctors, Raph and Dan, calling them “boys”. It just seemed sexualised to me.

I’ve attached a picture of her, this is how she dresses on the show.

I think it's your problem if you think she is sexualised. Ridiculous.

CalmTheFuckDownMargaret · 03/03/2025 23:06

This really is prudish to a silly level. There’s no boob, camel toe or arse on show. It’s properly made sports-wear. If anything, it’s good and inspirational for a strong body like hers to be on tv!

ShowOfHands · 04/03/2025 07:19

I am becoming increasingly prudish as I get older. There's every chance I'm turning into my mother. But I think having a strong, fit and dedicated athlete on shows like this is absolutely fantastic. In fact, I have more of an issue with the objectification of the doctors on this thread. People doing their jobs deserve professional respect, whether they're doctors or athletes.

Happyinarcon · 04/03/2025 07:45

Not appropriate for children’s tv. I wish female athletes weren’t pressured to dress like this, I have always been annoyed at how male sports costumes are more dignified

I hate the sexualisation of female athletes, but if you look at the photo upthread the male gladiators are wearing equivalent tight outfits with loads of chest and leg on display. So actually gladiators isn't that bad.

🤣 to this thread!

PorkHollywood · 04/03/2025 07:58

Hahaha 🤣

fartfacenotfatface · 04/03/2025 08:57

That's not half-naked. I was expecting to hear of someone with their arse / foof / tits on display.
She's an athletic woman wearing wholly appropriate attire for her role.

Whoonearthareyou · 04/03/2025 09:38

The outfits are clearly meant to be a little bit glamourous and sexy, both for the male and female gladiators, but they're not explicit or inappropriate. I think there are far more things to worry about at the BBC than this.

YehaaYessir · 30/08/2025 16:14

Her outfit is fine, not too revealing. You've got a point about the flirting though, she seems to fancy a bit of the docs.

You obviously haven't seen her Instagram. She wears the tiniest bikinis you've ever seen. She probably feels overdressed in this outfit 😄

Can you tell me what vital and relevant information would have been lost had you posted exactly that with the omission of the word ‘black’?
