Please tell me the best mattress you have ever slept on! We need a new one, our current is way too firm and very uncomfortable!
We have never gotten over this one bed we slept in years ago in a hotel that felt like sleeping on a fluffy cloud! So please tell me your recommendations ! Thanks 🤩

Vi Spring have a 30 year warranty - that’s how good they are. Don’t feel any movement at all when my DH turns over.

@SpanThatWorld, which Hypnos pillows are the magical snore cure, please?
They do two kinds of latex, feather/down and wool.

Sealy posturepedic for me. Edited because I wrote Sally first 😓

Shires sprung pocket memory foam, I'm just about to buy a new one, they are under £500.

crockofshite · 18/02/2025 22:36

Too much choice, drives me crazy!

Normallynumb · 18/02/2025 22:37

Very timely thread
Yesterday I had a lovely bed delivered from a site recommended here called Get laid beds(!)
Tomorrow I'm having a Sealy Melbreak Ortho Lux mattress delivered recommended by a friend

Whatamieventhinking · 18/02/2025 22:37

I have an Emma one and I'm looking forward to eventually replacing it with something sprung with natural materials. It's ok, but it's a bit sweaty and firm for my liking.

Coconutter24 · 18/02/2025 22:40

Premier inn!! We have a simba at home they are good

Movinghouseatlast · 18/02/2025 22:41

Hotel Contract Beds Panache. Like a bloody dream.

Emma is terrible. Like a brick.

hungryhippo · 18/02/2025 22:44

I bought an Emma mattress 6 months ago. It was too hard so contacted them to return it - absolutely no response at all to numerous emails, phone calls etc, tried contacting them via Resolver, still nothing. I ended up claiming the money back on my credit card but now have a mattress taking up space that I have to get rid of! Avoid!

IrisPallida · 18/02/2025 22:45

Vispring.

Will last you your lifetime while everyone else replaces their shite 'Emmas' and other memory foam cheap tat mattresses every five years, four of which will be excruciatingly uncomfortable.

Nectar

GabbySolisX · 18/02/2025 22:46

I bought an Emma one, I think it was medium firm, and had to return it. I felt like I was sleeping on a brick!

I currently have a IKEA one that’s discontinued. I’m sure they will do a similar one though, it’s quite a deep one and soft spring. I find it very comfortable.

My mum has one off Amazon and it’s so comfy. It wasn’t even very expensive, I will be buying the same one when mine needs replacing.

Crazybaby123 · 18/02/2025 22:50

We just got a really expensive foam mattress topper, was about 100 quid for the spare room double bed that I sleep in when I work late, the bed was too hard and the buttons poling out. It's more comfortable now than our 3 grand cloud mattress that I did think was the most comfortable but honestly, the rubbish mattress with the topper is now the best one in the house. I think it was a silent night topper with 5cm foam.

Inlimboin50s · 18/02/2025 22:52

Mine is from Oak furniture Land ,came rolled up and expanded into the most comfy mattress ever. Firm but squidgy.
I've had it seven years and know one day I'll have to replace it but not sure I'll ever get another like it so I'm always turning it and airing it.

Katesboots · 18/02/2025 23:09

I'm currently looking for a new mattress. Have been looking at sealy posturepedic mattresses as had one before and I remember it being comfortable.

JC03745 · 18/02/2025 23:14

Watching this thread as need a new mattress too.

waltzingparrot · 18/02/2025 23:15

We bought a Premier Inn one as we always slept so well at their hotels. It's just the same at home. Very comfy, not firm.

Zingy123 · 18/02/2025 23:16

Hypnos so comfortable. Got it from mattressman online.

ParlourGame · 18/02/2025 23:18

It's so very personal. Several PP love Emma; my DM has one on her spare bed and just one night on it kills my lower back...

I went to Dreams and did their embarrassing sleep assessment. It was weird and awkward, but their #1 suggestion for me has been incredibly comfortable every night since I bought it 5 months ago
