Please tell me the best mattress you have ever slept on! We need a new one, our current is way too firm and very uncomfortable!
We have never gotten over this one bed we slept in years ago in a hotel that felt like sleeping on a fluffy cloud! So please tell me your recommendations ! Thanks 🤩

Emma

Loaf top dog.

I can't cope with memory foam, makes me sweat like mad (TMI).

LePetitMaman · 18/02/2025 20:40

Vispring. By a country mile. The proper ones, not the "Vispring at John Lewis" types

Mingenious · 18/02/2025 20:40

Our mattress is second best but it’s 15 years old so I can’t remember the make. It’s got the word cashmere in and came from carpet right of all places.

Number 1 mattress was at at Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok. It was like being given a massive perfect hug. Mattresses in Thailand are usually bloody awful.

Premier Inn mattresses are fabulous and you can actually buy them . Just google premier inn mattress. Very reasonable prices too.

CharSiu · 18/02/2025 20:44

We recently bought a Flaxby mattress, it’s all natural fibres and very comfortable it was 1.3k.

TheDandyLion · 18/02/2025 20:48

The ones from Premier Inn.

Eyesopenwideawake · 18/02/2025 20:49

Vispring. It cost me €5000 in 2005 so 20 years old now but soooo comfortable.

Made by Hypnos until 2023.
Hypnos mattresses are unreal. I adore mine.

We bought Emma and it's been wonderful. But it's on a medium-firm side. Not sure how comfortable you'd find it if you are after "fluffy cloud" experience but you can return for a full refund if it doesn't work.

We got a new mattress a few months ago.
I absolutely love it.
Its wool filled which means it regulates my temperature really well. Its so comfortable

Relyon Marquess from their Heritage range. Not cheap and weighs a ton. It’s like sleeping on a cloud.

Ours recently suffered in a water leak but dried out quickly and is as good as new.

Downside is, that apart from one top end hotel stay in London, we always moan about the mattress when we are away.

username299 · 18/02/2025 21:03

I like mine it's an Otty Hybrid.

Unredchat · 18/02/2025 21:04

Whatever they have in the Premier Inn!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/02/2025 21:06

Honestly? The saggy, ancient feather mattress in my aunt's spare room. Probably because it was in that fabulous four poster bed and I felt like the fucking queen sleeping there. Sorry that I'm no help

Clarice99 · 18/02/2025 21:07

John Ryan By Design - Artisan Bespoke

cryinglaughing · 18/02/2025 21:08

Hypnos.

Sminty2 · 18/02/2025 21:09

I bought one from Amazon. Wasn’t expecting much as it was cheap and I only wanted it for a few months, before replacing the whole bed. But, it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on, absolute bargain. So warm and I’ve never had such a good nights sleep. I’ve got RA and find I’m not as stiff in the morning now. amzn.eu/d/5850Qca

Simmons Beautyrest mattress

Laiste · 18/02/2025 21:10

Ours is Ikea.
Was just under £300 for a king size and is lovely! I can't remember the name but it's a medium to firm i think.

Go in and have a roll about on them all no one cares or pesters😃

LuckyPlant · 18/02/2025 21:10

Before getting an Emma I'd recommend checking the recent Trust Pilot reviews (terrible customer service if you have problems, I can attest to this).
