To ask Trump supporters how they defend this?

To be blunt, I don't understand how anyone can stand this guy. Nothing on earth would convince me to vote for him (I'm American), but he seems to have a surprising level of support on here. Over 60 people died, including a sickening number of children.

How is this ok?

His "joke" about swimming. You don't think that might be at all insensitive to the family and loved ones of the deceased?

Hes an embarrassment. The things he's said since the crash are unbelievable. The comment about visiting the site were crass and in appallingly poor taste.

His comment trivialises the tragedy. Any decent person would say I am going to visit the site. No need to add the ridiculous swimming comment.

You think that response is a reasoned, considered and empathetic statement to a tragedy from the 'christian' president? Unbelievable.

Of course no one expected him to enter the water - can you imagine Obama saying something like that? He is a grotesque excuse of a man.

Given that mumsnet is made up of mostly Brits or people living in the uk. ( not all but the majority). So many posts lately asking people to justify voting for Trump. Why not ask in a majority US based site. You'd probably get more accurate answers from actual voters.

These constant demands to justify trumps latest crazy, are as boring as they are pointless.

He is the US president, there is bugger all the vast majority of MN posters can do about that.

Also the fact he blamed the accident on “diversity and inclusion policies” brought in by Obama and Biden.

So it follows that I shouldn't, as a dual citizen, be interested in how people who are on here, who support him, see this?

Adding: I have not come to your house, banging on the door screaming at you to answer my question. I've asked on an open forum on which you are very, very welcome to scroll on by, as most of us do on many threads not of interest to us.
