Blake lively

Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

Amber Heard was treated absolutely appallingly by the press and time will show it. I’m glad Johnny still didn’t get his comeback, no amount of dragging someone else can hide the drunk loser he’s become. Paul Bettany is another one who got away with those awful messages.

I’m leaning more towards JB on this one but only time will tell. I have a very hard time believing JB could behave like this with Lively and especially her husband always hovering around. This whole thing probably has more to do with damage control than anything else.

I used to really like Paul Bettany. I won't ever forget.

This smearing of BL, posters must think we're thick as mince. PR companies need to understand that older women have seen all this before hundreds of times. We don't bend as easily.

LadyTottingham · 23/01/2025 15:04

I can see how she is uncomfortable in that scene, however, by only releasing into the public domain select parts of text conversations so we don't get the context (see my previous post), asking for his legal team to be gagged to prevent them releasing further evidence thus leaving her free reign to release as and when she pleases, is manipulative behaviour and doesn't do her any favours. It is exactly what AH did which affected her credibility and her case so I can easily see why people (inc myself) are making comparisons.

I also don't feel that I have to support any female just because we share the same reproductive organs. That's a slippery slope.

FWIW I'm in the 'older' (I prefer more mature 😊) woman category and worked in offices in and around the late 80's/90s so there isn't much I haven't seen in terms of male egos and unsavoury behaviours.
I'm not for bending either.

Coldanddamp · 23/01/2025 15:05

Even if that was scene was exactly as scripted surely all actors & actresses find having to pretend to be in love with a stranger pretty uncomfortable? It's weird in general

Coldanddamp · 23/01/2025 15:07

and during movie scenes don't actors often go off piste and add things or directors alter things when looking through a lens?

ElatedShark · 23/01/2025 15:10

I saw the video and am not sure what to think. I am leaning more to believing she wanted an affair and he wasn't into it so she went scorched earth on his reputation.
She has a rep for that

It probably doesn't help with the blinds about her husband, H and their mates ALLEGEDLY

Careful you don't pull a muscle with those (mental) gymnastics.

I watched the full clip and what really comes across is how unbelievably unprofessional Blake Lively is. Why is she constantly talking and giving him, the Director, directions? And then there’s the fact she completely twisted a small compliment between colleagues into a gross seedy moment to accuse him of sexual harassment. I’m so glad JB is fighting back. I hope he doesn’t settle. She and Ryan tried to destroy his career and they would’ve gotten away with it had it not been for Justin keeping receipts.

Ok Justin, we see you

For all the man haters that seem to have flocked to this post please watch Meghan Kelly sum the whole thing up here to Ben Shapiro and then please just go away!

The promotion of the movie was how she was told to promote it. Actors don’t do these promos out the goodness of their hearts, it’s a contractual obligation and they have to go by the PR instructions - which in this case were “Focus on the positive messages of the films including flowers and fashion”. And actually this was conjured up AFTER she called Bandoni out on his behaviour. It also just so happens that Baldoni’s promo plan was different to the rest of the case, he WAS allowed to speak about DV when doing the press tour. Funny that

I would believe this if it weren't for the fact she was shilling her hair care line and her husbands alcohol brand during the promo. This is usually frowned upon in film promo, are you saying they told her to do this also?

Reality is she can be insufferable and still have experienced sexual harassment, she still doesn't deserve it no matter how problematic she is (thought she's awful since she made jokes about her co-star in GG having been born in prison which is spiteful and nothing has ever seemed to contradict this rep). That said, this is messy AF and who knows what went on.

How very.. Justin of you.

You do realise that just another opinion, right? You’re acting like it’s fact also - it doesn’t change my mind. You’re being manipulated and what stinks is, we hate women so quickly and easily.

Mollysay · 23/01/2025 19:45

we hate women so quickly and easily

Some women are awful people though, would be disingenuous to suggest otherwise. She's actually been given a fair bit of grace because she's the woman in this scenario tbh. Plenty of examples of her being a horrible person in interviews and her own words- caveat with not suggesting this means I think she deserves to be harassed if it happened.

I’d be curious how many people hate Brad Pitt. More than hate Blake Lively? I doubt it.

I’m not saying a thing about her character - I don’t know her. I’m just saying that I believe the things she claims about Justin Baldoni are true. And that the hate she’s getting is outsized because she’s a beautiful and privileged woman.

What's Brad Pitt got to do with it?

Only that he assaulted his (ex) wife on a plane, hit his son for trying to intervene (all this is fact, btw, FBI investigated) and yet his reputation is intact. Blake Lively gave a couple of awkward interviews and the internet hates her. Calls her a “mean girl”, doesn’t believe her when she says she was treated badly by a male costar.

My point is - they’re both celebrities. One is still working and absolutely fine. The other is not. One is a man. The other is not.

The man (Brad Pitt) has a great PR team in this case as well!

hat did Paul bettany do?

I really recommend listening to "Who Trolled Amber Heard".

It's highly selective and has a huge agenda.

I really recommend listening to the recordings of Amber abusing JD here:

Neither did I until recently! It’s mad, right? Great PR. If someone came on the Relationships board here and described him, we’d all be shocked at how awful. Yet he’s getting Chanel campaigns, doing Oscar worthy films (well, I don’t know what films he’s doing lately tbh). There’s a good article on Slate called something like “Brad Pitt keeps showing us who he is. Why don’t we believe him?” Or similar.

I actually have no idea what Paul Bettany did, but I’m off to google…

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/01/2025 20:15

Hands up to being a man hater. I hate male violence and harassment that the entertainment industry is lousy with. It would be lovely to go out in the world safe from male violence and harassment. Now, in my 50s I'm almost free of it. So it's only happened once in this week (running as a woman is very presumptuous), rather than multiple times a week in my teens.

Good men are wonderful. I'm married to one, my dad is one, friends are several. I would trust them with my life, more importantly I would trust them to look after 14yo DD.

But men as a class, given power and influence over women? Yuk.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/01/2025 20:16

Paul Bethany.

One message, sent in 2013, made lewd reference to Heard’s “beaver”, and discussed her murder by “burning” or “drowning”.
“I’m not sure we should burn Amber,” wrote Bettany. “She is delightful company and pleasing on the eye. We could of course do the English course of action and perform a drowning test. Thoughts? You have a swimming pool.”
Depp replied: “Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I will fuck her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead.”
To which Bettany apparently wrote back: “My thoughts entirely. Let’s be certain before we pronounce her a witch.”

I thought it was investigated and the FBI found no wrong doing hence why no charges were brought? Anyway.

I also think it’s more than a few ‘awkward interviews’ that the backlash of BL is happening. I haven’t read either lawsuit thought so I’ll wait until it’s all out in court.

I’m uncomfortable though with immediately defending BL due to her being a woman, and I say that as having a job where I see awful males daily, more so than women, and recognise that as a sex class, males are absolute cunts (NAMALT, women do it too blah blah).

Ah yes two incomparable situations, point proven.

Brad Pitt simply isn't that relevant anymore, he might not receive a tonne of hate online but similarly there doesn't seem to be people riding for him either. Sure he's working on stuff at the moment, I'm sure Blake will continue to once this passes which it will (unless its proven if it gets to court shes a liar). All celebrities have PR teams, some good and some not so good, her and RR no doubt pay someone a lot to try and keep their golden couple status (probably lots of overtime at the moment).

I think they both agreed the FBI documents would remain sealed (after a quick google just now!). But the fact remains that (allegedly) none of his children want to be associated with him and have dropped his last name. I think that’s pretty telling.

Anyway I’m not trying to do a Brad Pitt witch hunt!

I am just saying - Blake Lively’s bad press was shoved in all our faces all the time everywhere. Brad Pitt’s really wasn’t. It never came up on my social media feeds, where as BL was flooded on mine. Makes me believe her claim of a smear campaign against her.

Amber and johnny were a pair of crack heads that we've all walked past doing our best not to stare, or had living around us making life hell, unfortunately they are rich and famous so aired their dirty linen in public.
That clip shows that BL had a point. Scarlett Johansson does the same when asked about clothes etc, she'll happily answer when the interviews with the male actors ask the same questions.

Has he even done many interviews in the past decade or two? Serious question, i don't remember seeing any for a long long time. It's also only possible to dig out awful interviews if someone has given them, a lot was driven by it trended on tik tok- something that wasn't about when Brad was actually relevant. She still comes across awful in those clips, plenty more out there too.
