If it was you?

Not expect as in, he has to be home a certain time, but 5.30 now and still not back..,almost 6 hours at a work lunch 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a 10 minute drive away

If he’s not drinking I’d expect three hours?

NerrSnerr · 23/12/2024 17:32

Depends what the plan is. If they're going to the pub it could be any time. My husband would give an ETA though roughly.

TotallyTwisted · 23/12/2024 17:33

Not until at least 8pm.

LostittoBostik · 23/12/2024 17:34

Midnight tbh

Namechangeforthis88 · 23/12/2024 17:34

I'd expect people to go elsewhere afterwards and it could be anything up to gone 3am. Unless otherwise discussed in advance. But DS is a teenager so we're quite blasé these days, no one has to be up to feed the baby here.

LostittoBostik · 23/12/2024 17:34

(Am assuming he's in a taxi or getting the bus, not drinking and driving back)

BitOutOfPractice · 23/12/2024 17:35

not drinking : 3pm
drinking: midnight

Scutterbug · 23/12/2024 17:36

Probably about midnight!

Lightswontstopflashing · 23/12/2024 17:36

Drinking, taxi back

OP posts:
Hankunamatata · 23/12/2024 17:37

He is out enjoying himself. I wouldn't expect him back until late

HPandthelastwish · 23/12/2024 17:37

Midnight

HavfrueDenizKisi · 23/12/2024 17:37

Agreed. Much later than you think! They always go on somewhere else if there's drinking involved. So 9pm if you're lucky but could be 2am.

CleanShirt · 23/12/2024 17:37

I wouldn't expect anything, it's his Christmas do!

sunshineandshowers40 · 23/12/2024 17:38

If drinking I would expect him home when the pub/bar/restaurant shut.

BCBird · 23/12/2024 17:38

When he's ready

BodyKeepingScore · 23/12/2024 17:38

Maybe midnight or thereabouts personally.

BlueMum16 · 23/12/2024 17:38

Lightswontstopflashing · 23/12/2024 17:36

Drinking, taxi back

Once I'm in bed.

He's out enjoying himself.

MissMogwai · 23/12/2024 17:38

I'd leave him to it, he'll be pissed now no doubt.

Hope you get a night off too!

Tinytigertail · 23/12/2024 17:38

Anywhere between 7.30 - midnight depending on where they go afterwards

Eyesopenwideawake · 23/12/2024 17:38

Boxing Day?? #nothelpful

Growsomeballswoman · 23/12/2024 17:39

Anytime he wants to come bank.

DowntonNabby · 23/12/2024 17:39

Silly o’clock, because it’s his Xmas work do.

Jingleberryalltheway · 23/12/2024 17:39

I wouldn’t. He will be back when he is back unless he has agreed other wise to help with kids.

GabriellaMontez · 23/12/2024 17:40

Did he give you any idea?

9pm..??? Depends what kind of gang they are.

MonsieurBlobby · 23/12/2024 17:40

I'd assume at the very least working day + commute time (if not drinking and doesn't like colleagues).
Beyond that... How long is a piece of string?! 8pm? 11pm? 3am?

Did you discuss a time beforehand? Does his being out make things very difficult for you at home?
