Are there any conspiracy theories you believe in?

Inspired by another thread

I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

Sorry really?? They claimed that over and over again? That was one of their main points to drive home that you should get it. Especially as people said, but I've already contracted COVID, I should therefore have natural immunity. They said not enough, our vax is 100%

Most people aren't aged 12-15.

I think other reasons why you question whether Diana's death was planned is because it was all very convenient.
Him sat on the throne now with 'Queen Consort". Very nice.

He and Diana were divorced. Charles was free to remarry.
Diana's death was a catastrophe for him and the RF because it turned her into some sort of Saint.

Luddite26 · 23/12/2024 07:09

Maybe while he is head of the C of E he could make it more acceptable for couples to be remarried in church if the King is allowed to be married to a divorced. I just find that hypocritical not that I am religious.

The psychology of those people who don’t question a single thing, ever, at all is extremely interesting.

Govt - you must get vaccinated
Majority of Public - oh okay
’Conspiracy theorists’ - pls tell us what’s in the vaccine
Govt - No
Majority of Public - oh ok, no problem, we’ll take it anyway
‘conspiracy theorists’ - we’ll choose not to then as we can’t see what’s being pumped into our bodies if you don’t show us the insert slips at the vaxx clinics.
Majority of Public - The govt wouldn’t lie to us about vaccines
Pfizer - nope - we are going to ban the Public from seeing the trial data for 75 years

I'd say that the number of people who don't question a single thing, ever, is relatively low so I can see the interest.
The real problem, of course, is a lack of critical thinking skills, a common problem with conspiracy theorists. It would be easy to place the blame solely on lack of education but there is so much more to it. Like I said, fascinating

He looked devastated when Diana died.

I can believe it may have been a conspiracy but too many people involved and in a different country? I can’t see it.

Could have been MI5 I suppose but to what purpose? Diana was already being sidelined. I don’t think other royal exes have been died so why Diana in particular being killed off?

You clearly do not understand how immunity works. Some diseases give you natural immunity for a time, or for life. Flu gives you about 3 years immunity.

Chicken pox usually gives you life long immunity but not always, it is possible to get it twice and it can later develop in to shingles.

The article you linked to is about a small study that at the time of writing had not been peer reviewed.

I don't understand why the theory of Madeleine McCann's parents being involved is considered a 'conspiracy theory'

Statistically, it is the most likely scenario.

Isn't Richard D Hall the same guy who said the victims at the Ariana Grande concert where crisis actors?

Yes, he wants locking up. There’s a very compelling podcast about him.

scalt · 23/12/2024 07:25

The Bin Laden videos of himself mocking the authorities "come and get me!" which he supposedly kept sending were probably filmed in Hollywood. Indeed, to me it's questionable that he ever existed, he was a useful bogeyman.

@Ohhbaby
First the vax was 100% effective, then 90, then 80 and so on and now we know it wasn't effective in prevention .
See also "Reviewed in three weeks, three more weeks, just three more weeks, we can turn this virus around in twelve weeks, we need to squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze the brakes on reopening (August), normalish by Christmas, significant normality by Easter, just until the over 70's have been vaccinated, over 60s, over 50s, over 40s, all children, unborn babies... irreversible roadmap to freedom in June, oops.... July. And there might be a mask mandate from October to Easter every year from now on.

And they think we didn't notice the constant moving of the goalposts.

I do think there may have been something damaging in the cover vaccine.

I had it, and my health has never been good since.

I wish I hadn't taken it

My mother and also my father in law both had strokes within 6 months of having their booster vaccines.

I don't know for sure, but it seems a bit strange and coincidental.

Radishknot · 23/12/2024 07:35

Diana's death was a catastrophe for him and the RF because it turned her into some sort of Saint.

I don’t think her death was a conspiracy and the public turned on him but the press pre Diana’s death was awful to the RF, incredibly intrusive, disrespectful etc They stepped back after that and the RF managed to really turn around the public’s perception, the integration of Camilla was a PR masterclass.

Mel Gibson starred in a movie called "Conspiracy Theory", about 30 years ago I think. He subscribed to pamphlets about how the Royal Family were lizards, etc etc. He was always going to the police and demanding that they do something. Then one day he discovered an actual conspiracy. I only saw it once, a long time ago, but I remember it being very entertaining.

And he’s since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder

This is one conspiracy I think is true, that Megan and Harry used surrogates for their pregnancies.

Meghan Markle was divorced, yet was married in St George's Chapel in a C of E service, by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

100% a thing that happens

Velvian · 23/12/2024 07:46

I can never understand why so many people believe the RF had some involvement in Princess Diana's death. It was so preventable if only very basic safety precautions had been taken (such as putting a seatbelt on).

Same with the disbelief of the moon landings.

TwentySecondsLeft · 23/12/2024 07:47

Surely there are conspiracies v’s consensus opinion.
A theory needs to be properly evaluated and peer reviewed before it can be safely taken as fact.
If you are believing in any conspiracy it’s not really a logical way of thinking.
That one conspiracy out of 100 might hold some truth is only because that conspiracy - or rather speculation - has been properly evaluated, evidenced and upheld through the proper scientific channels.

So I believe in speculation.
I don’t believe in ‘conspiracy theories’ because they haven’t been properly evidenced.

And then if you persuade others to believe in them without sufficient evidence, then that has the potential to cause harm.

Cerialkiller · 23/12/2024 07:49

blankittyblank · 22/12/2024 19:12

Re the moon landings - I was watching something a while ago, and they were saying the most expensive part of a moon expedition is the building of the rocket and it taking off. So, why would they fake it? When everyone saw the rocket take off. What would be the point when they've already spent all that money sending it into space, for no reason?!

Because they were formally cleared.

Just because something is statistically more likely does not make it true.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 23/12/2024 07:52

I heard from Trevor (I'm not allowed to say his surname) that Conspiracy Theories are all created by a secret Government Department (in cahoots with the CIA and GRU) to fragment people under the 'divide and rule' policy, in order to maintain power by exploiting or creating divisions among the populance.
