I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

I'm old enough to remember the "Paul McCartney is dead" conspiracy. I don't believe it, but I remember hearing a very compelling argument on radio by a believer, involving the Abbey Road album cover, one of the songs on the album played backwards and other things I can't remember now.
I think a lot of people fell for it.

Is Princess Diana really a conspiracy? There are lots of things that don't add up about her death.

All the popular ones are nonsense. Anti-vaxxers annoy me the most, as it caused a resurgence of very preventable illnesses.

Some of them I will just never understand, such as flat earthers. It is not possible by the laws of physics for us to be living on a flat earth, but why on earth would anyone make up the shape of the earth? Why would the government lie about it? If it came out tomorrow that the earth was actually a cube, I'd think 'oh interesting' and I'd carry on with my day.

I don't think I believe that the moon landing footage was real but still think they probably landed there. Princess Diana's death was definitely dodgy.

Not sure if this is a conspiracy as such, but I do strongly believe that we have evidence of other species that have travelled to earth and life that's hidden from us.

And I have deep suspicions about the earths history, and believe humans have been around longer than we think and potentially again another species inhabited the planet.

Purely for the fact, most would have to involve a fair number of people to be involved or at least know about it. There's no way masses of people could keep quiet like that. Not if it's the truth.

I remember reading about the Paul McCartney CT and someone said it's all about the ears which led me down a rabbit hole to the CT that Katy Perry is Jon benet Ramsey and 'the ears proved it'. Some people have very vivid imaginations!

What happened then and why?

I find it baffling that flat earthers believe that the other planets in the solar system aren’t flat and round like the textbooks.

I read a theory where someone said the moon landing was real but the footage filmed was shit or they couldn't film (I forget which) so the footage was actually filmed later and that's why it looks fake and there's issues with it but many people were saying it was definitely fake and linking to hours long YouTube videos 'proving' it's fake.

'Fossil' fuels are actually renewable and being produced by the earth all the time. I have no idea on the veracity of that but it's interesting to ponder if it were true.....

Definitely JFK, no way could he have made that shot and so many people report hearing multiple gunshots.

I’d quite like to believe that a portal to the 5th dimension exists and maybe that’s where the aliens are coming from, but the portal could be very small….like 10cm across so we haven’t noticed it 😁

Diana would have survived if she’d been wearing a seatbelt. Simple as that. No conspiracy.

The moon landings clearly aren’t a conspiracy - literally THOUSANDS of people would have to have been on it. It’s such utter nonsense that none of them would have spilled the beans by now 😂.

I find this a good way of debunking chemtrails. The weather and physics nerds will show how the claims about what you see in the sky are true, which is good and necessary, but if you are a true conspiracist you don't trust scientists anyway (because you always found algebra a bit challenging). I think it's easier to ask things like where the chemtrail factory is, how they recruit staff, whether the people who work there have a union, whether the people who run the canteen know what the factory makes, who drives the tanker to the airport, where the tank for the chemicals is on the plane, at what point the pilots get their briefings for when to spray the chemicals (can't see Michael O'Leary standing for any delays), and finally, even though this has allegedly been going on for decades, why not a single person in this multi-billion dollar industry has come forward, even on their deathbed, with a confession of what they've been involved with.

In fact just the bit about the canteen is probably enough. So many conspiracies require an army of not just evil scientists but also just workers. When I see a James Bond movie I always want to ask what SPECTRE's annual leave policy is for junior grade henchpersons.

JFK assassination. Oswald did shoot,but the fatal bullet was accidental, at the hands of his security sat behind him. In his panic to grab his weapon, it discharged killing Kennedy.

That Covid originated in the lab in Wuhan. I think it was likely an accident but that is where it came from.

Too many coincidences not to be. A viral outbreak starts in the same city that has a dedicated virology lab where bat corona viruses were being studied ? And the lab refused to hand over data to the WHO ?

I don’t even think that’s a conspiracy theory tbh. It’s highly likely to have happened.

Mostly I think conspiracy theories are just nuts and made/believed by people who are socially isolated and spend too much time online.

I’m not entirely certain but I believe Courtney Love had something to do with it. Wasn’t there a guy who was hired by her as a PI and he got suspicious and devoted his life to trying to prove she was behind it. He found scraps of paper where she had practiced his hand writing (presume to fake his suicide note) and plenty have said that with the amount of Heroin in his system and the gun that was used that it would have been impossible for him to have died by his own hand

Imagine the price of debunking the moon landings. I’d imagine that the USSR would have paid millions (back then ) to humiliate the USA.
