Are there any conspiracy theories you believe in?

Inspired by another thread

I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

I'm sure every one of your school pupils knows that the Saturn rocket separated from the landing module and command cockpit on clearing earth atmosphere. What I was commenting on was the overall look of the rockets and associated modules and the appearance of their tensile strength (you know, Hookes law and all that boring stuff). Nothing to do with what something looks like in zero gravity, my point being that its unbelievable that something that looks that lightweight and maleable could get to the moon and back let alone re-enter earth's atmosphere at a potential 4500 deg f but then I'm only a senior mettalurgist, so I'm a bit biased. It's a UK thing I think, observe, be sceptical based on your own field of expertise and hope nobody looses the will to live around the basics. Have a great day.

What I find even harder to believe is that, having seemingly pulled off the greatest hoax in history, with equipment that plainly (to anyone with expertise in a vaguely related field) could not possibly be up to the task, the US government would decide to publicly display it in a popular tourist attraction.

InCheesusITrust · 23/12/2024 04:53

Clintons.
Noone has THAT many "friends" who commit suicide.
Eppstein did not kill himself (see above related)
9/11 is full of lies and cover up of fuck ups

My fave crazy are 2- pizza gate and Wayfair furniture names which I don't believe in.

Musk just kind of publicly proved that world is heavily influenced if not not run by government but super rich who we normally don't know about. We know him and he broke other's super rich cover.

"Big pharma" stuff does make sense in parts, not the whole thing though.

Btw Inside job is very entertain series.

I think they're using the American spelling.

But the loosing rather than the losing has ticked me off 😅

If Epstien was murdered, it'll have been by the Trump administration (I can't imagine that they'd run a cover up for the Clinton's!)

(Disclaimer, I think he probably committed suicide)

They have fingers in everywhere no matter who is in White house.

I still giggle that he was who most likely featured in Going to Ibiza video. I had to google it after I spotted that scene in my 20s🙈 Rarely saw the video before, just danced to the song

But Trump's own AG at the time (Barr) was himself highly skeptical that it was a suicide and immediately organized an investigation, which led him to determine that it was indeed a suicide as a result of a "perfect storm of screw-ups".

Barr is very clearly no fan of the Clintons and at the time was a Trump loyalist. I just can't see why the Trump administration would cover up a crime by their political opponents...

Never heard it applied at anyone except Michelle.

It has been applied to both Williams sisters, Fatima Whitbread, and various other successful black women over the decades. It is deplorable nonsense.

And he was actually found liable for sexual abuse in Court.

Haha I do love the 'im so intelligent, I don't believe so called conspiracy theories".
You do realise that
*COVID came from a lab
*The vax isn't 100% effective
*They are censoring social media
Et cetera
We're all once deemed conspiracy theorists.

Once people claimed that the US government we're testing LSD on civilians. Hard conspiracy theory, I mean, why would the government test drugs on its own people. ??
Well, u til it was proven true.
The US government did test LSD, mostly on unwitting army soldiers.

Obviously not all 'conspiracy theories' are true, but most have some shred of truth to them, otherwise no one would even start to believe it, and many others are just called conspiracy theories because they have not been proven to be true at the time.
I actually think just mindlessly calling people who actually considers conspiracy theories, unintelligent, is unintelligent and guillable.
A lot of them have been very very very true.
You just weren't privy to all the info

No one has ever claimed the covid vaccine (or any vaccine) was 100 per cent effective. Not the government, not even the manufacturers. I’m not sure where you got the idea that anyone has ever claimed that?

I believed once that at Christmas, all the presents were delivered by an old man from the North Pole, in a sleigh pulled by a team of reindeer. I was devastated when I discovered the truth.

Why sensible people think that Diana was killed off is:

Before she died, Diana wrote a note saying "they are planning a car crash in my car"

And yet she still chose not to wear a seat belt.

Social media being censored has always been known. There isn't a right to free speech on Social media nor a journalistic ethics standard so of course things will be censored.

I think other reasons why you question whether Diana's death was planned is because it was all very convenient.
Him sat on the throne now with 'Queen Consort". Very nice.

I read a theory where someone said the moon landing was real but the footage filmed was shit or they couldn't film (I forget which) so the footage was actually filmed later and that's why it looks fake and there's issues with it but many people were saying it was definitely fake and linking to hours long YouTube videos 'proving' it's fake.

If the footage wasn't real they went to a lot of trouble to fake it.

Because of the position of the Earth the signal had to be routed via Australia. It was also tracked by other stations in Australia and in Spain.

Princess Diana - the inquest found she was 'unlawfully killed'.

I think there is something about Hillsborough. I know lots of things came out with the HIP but it was, in a sick sense, a perfect disaster for Thatcher. The cover ups that we know about are bad enough. I also think someone / some organisation has protected certain people.

JFK? Well there is a confession from another guy, but who knows if he was even there. The thing with JFK I cannot get my head around is that the CIA were not interested in Lee Harvey Oswald.

Surely they should have been? Very few people could visit and live in the USSR so someone who had lied there. I don't mean he had any big military secrets but he certainly had some knowledge.

Not one but two Aussie dishes were used to get the TV signals back from the Apollo 11 moonwalk

When Neil Armstrong stepped on to the Moon 50 years ago this month, Australians saw the images first. Australia even defied bad weather to bring the historic images to the world.

I’ve been on MN since 2003 😂. But for me, the science is never settled. I love researching stuff and never rule out anything - why should we? There’s nothing wrong with always asking questions and using our own discernment to work out stuff.

In answer to your question, I was giving you a few real life examples of how easily the government (WEF) could erode society piece by piece - almost so covertly, that nobody notices until it’s too late.

Telling people they can’t go into a pub unless they have been vaccinated for example. In China, the social credit system means that if your social credit score isn’t ‘green’ you aren’t allowed to take certain trains.

All you need is for the government/WEF to insist on no more cash and voila, they have complete control.

It’s not a huge conspiracy - this is what the WEF really stated would happen.
The Georgia Guidestones (before they were luckily blown up), stated that earth’s population should be maintained at 500,000,000. Elites really wanted to keep earth’s population at that level. How exactly were they going to achieve that?

All you have to do is look at just how quickly and easily the majority of the western world voluntarily gave up their freedoms in 2020….without querying it or speaking up. Fortunately though, lots of us DID speak up and that’s why governments eventually had to listen.

The Georgia Guidestones was one man who bought a piece of land and commissioned some granite stones in the 80s 🙄
He was a nut who believed there was going to be a nuclear war or something equally world changing so the stones were to be a guide for those who survived the catastrophic event. Ripe pickings for conspiracy theorists 😆

Funny how the enlightened conveniently swerve the topic when what they called conspiracy theories turn out to be true.

Or they get into a ‘yeah but, no but, yeah but….’

Anyone who said in 2020 that Biden was suffering from dementia and in no fit state to sun for President and was just a front man, was totally slated. Even though it was blindingly obvious from the news footage even then.

Anyone who said that Covid was probably man made and leaked purposely, was made out to be a villain. Until the FBI confirmed it.

Anyone who said that the Iraq war was a fraud was called names. Until it turned out that there were no WMDs. Never mind being able to launch them within 45 mins.

This is what irks me the most
Soooo much of what was officially said during COVID turned out to be false.
Yet anyone with a dissenting opinion was immediately called a vile conspiracy theorist
'wait are we sure the vax is safe, hasn't been tested on pregnant woman for example, but NHS guidelines and CDC guidelines are babies and pregnant women should take it ?'
How dare you, you are making people's grandmother dies etc etc!!
Many many normal people were just questioning the official things. Are we sure we need that many boosters? Why is natural immunity not good enough?
as well as doctors were saying wait a minute I'm seeing xyz (long problems, blood clots) in my patients .
All of these were called many horrible names.
And the CDC etc outright continued to lie.
First the vax was 100% effective, then 90, then 80 and so on and now we know it wasn't effective in prevention .
Natural immunity was suddenly not a thing at all, whereas data now showed that natural immunity was vmore effective than the vax etc

And the vax did indeed cause harm.
And no one is standing up saying ahh sorry I shared all this bullshit about it being effective on social media, I wrote post on post about how these horrible people who didn't want the vax are killing my grandma. All of what ya'll said trined put to be true, I'm sorry.
No they just skil over it and now find new 'conspiracy theorists to slate
Own up, you weren't discerning, you just followed blindly and people around you were right.
But no, not a peep.

I think it’s more like conspiracy theories are created or at least spread more widely to muddy the waters. Most are false but some are true, and brushed off with “it’s just a conspiracy theory!”.

Look at David Ike, bonkers but he was absolutely right about Jimmy Saville.

Where do you think a lot of the distrust of vaccines come from? The US government literally did infect people with syphilis to see what happened! Read the files released by the CIA admitting all the weird stuff they did.

An intelligent view would be a healthy level of skepticism with being open to the possibility that some of it could actually be true.

Look up The Tuskegee Experiment. This was why a lot of black men and women didn't have the covid vaccine when it was rolled out - especially when they were told Covid was particularly bad for black people.

Sorry really?? They claimed that over and over again? That was one of their main points to drive home that you should get it. Especially as people said, but I've already contracted COVID, I should therefore have natural immunity. They said not enough, our vax is 100%

The thing about the Covid vax is the uptake among some healthcare staff was not as high as it should have been, same for the boosters now. Some of this is as pp mentioned natural distrust amongst certain communities but it feeds into conspiracy theories.

Theunamedcat · 23/12/2024 07:05

So when was it actually confirmed covid came from a lab? I thought they recently confirmed it hadn't?
