I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

That the predilections of Epstein and Savile, as well as Michael Jackson and likely many others who haven't come to light yet, were evidently widely known is not 'conspiracy theory'. It's a sad indictment of a society which protects men at all costs, and allows them to indulge in their sexual proclivities with complete impunity. And despite the fact that he's obviously very disturbed emotionally - which is precisely the defence people use against victims to prevent their ever being taken seriously - I believe every word Corey Feldman says.

The only so-called conspiracy theories I think have legs are two particular suicides of men who had become very dangerous to some powerful people. I don't believe the official line about the suicides of either Dr David Kelly or Jeffrey Epstein.

I mean obviously they could shrink wrap and then expand again to full size, like those bags where you hoover out the air and store Aran jumpers for winter? As long as they have developed hoover technology...Hang on maybe the Aztecs got hoover tech from them....

Likewise people who believe what they read on crackpot conspiracy sites. A bit of criticality and scepticism about everything they read would serve a lot of people well.

I've heard it said that the reason they come off strange is because allegedly they and their doctor friends were drugging their children. If there is any truth in that I guess we shall never know, but the guilt would be tremendous if true as it certainly would have made it easier for the abductor.

Well that is definitely true. It's just they don't renew as quickly as would need. If you can wait 30 millions years to fill your car it will be fine.

I'm not sure about the moon landings to be honest. There was a huge race to be the first etc in the 60s and since then no one has landed on it since. Just a bit suspicious 🤔

It's not so much that they never do anything bad. You'd be a fool to believe that. Rather the belief that supposed bad things are being done for bad reasons. Like "COVID lockdowns were an experiment in how far the government could push us". Rather than "COVID lockdowns were a necessary evil because of the lack of prior mitigating actions." (arguably bad but with good intentions)

It’s a bit daft to say that all “conspiracy theories” are crazy. Ok some of them are truely bonkers - the one about the queen being a giant lizard for example.

But some of the ones about government cover ups ? It’s not exactly unheard of historically for something to be covered up or rather kept from Joe Public. Plenty of things are on a need to know basis.

I’m not convinced anything could be covered up on a really huge scale/involving different countries and governments but I would have thought most people could accept that some (usually sensitive) information is kept from the general public.

Sometimes it’s not governments - it’s an organisation. The BBC knew about Savile. So did many other people power positions. But they kept it quiet. This is now well known but it took years (and his death) for it to emerge.

I don't believe any of them but i find the total and utter bonkersness of it all quite fascinating. For instance, flat earth believers, I feel a fascinated kind of pity for them.

Another major hoax unfolding in real time in front of our very eyes is the illegal migration crisis. It ain’t no crisis. It has been orchestrated in this way to look like one.

Corrupt western governments and officials are raking in billions from this trade. They could stop it tomorrow if they wanted to. But this is organized crime, from which government officials and their cronies in charge are making masses of cash. It’s an industry and there is absolutely no way that it could flourish if those at the top were not actively facilitating it.

And then there is the macro economic manipulation. Why pay real wages to people when you can open the borders, run an illegal underground economy to suppress wages by letting in millions.

A docile population, that has an illusion of control, but can barely afford to heat their homes, is perfectly placed to continually fleece.

I generally don’t believe in conspiracy theories, but I do think there’s more than meets the eye about the deaths of David Kelly and Gareth Williams. But I don’t know enough facts (rather than theories presented as facts) to be certain.

I’m also slightly suspicious about the death of Bin Laden. If you’d spent years and millions bringing an organisation down, would you just shoot him? Or would you stick him in a bunker somewhere and get as much intelligence from him as possible? It just seems like a lot of effort to go to with not much pay off. I expect he’s dead now. I’m just not convinced that he died when they say he did.

The conspiracy was in the cover up, demonising of anyone who raised this possibility and unquestioning assertion of acceptable alternative theories.

This is my favourite line, the government? Haha.

Which one? All of them, even the ones who hate each other, yet doing the exact same thing?

All the world leaders couldn’t organise a piss up in brewery, but they all banded together to cover up a virus to control us for some unknown reason.

MI5/6 and their equivalents elsewhere run our lives. they organise the conspiracy theories/leak of viruses and so on, then assassinate those who may expose the conspiracies as fact. Keep the population under control. What else are they there for?
