I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

Oh, the ears! You've just reminded me about the hundreds of videos 'proving' Kate Middleton was dead and you could see it was a stand-in with William at the garden centre because ... ears 😂

Saw one before which ties into 'fake space theory' that it's where the rockets go which are launched from the space centre on the coast of Florida.

I fully believe that there are aliens, some already from earth but from unexplored places (the oceans) and good at mostly staying hidden, some from other galaxies and using technology many years ahead of anything we can create.

The recent US congress hearings have been interesting and have stated that UFOs have disarmed nuclear weapons - obviously they see this as a huge threat to humans, but there are many humans that think disarming weapons that have the potential to destroy our planet under the control of nutters like Putin and Trump is a very good thing!

I’m generally of the opinion that conspiracy theories are stupid at best, downright dangerous at worst. DD21 was explaining to me the other day the ‘Larry Stylinson’ One Direction conspiracy theory, which involves secret marriage and a fake baby among many other deluded beliefs. All I could think was WTF

More likely he’s latched onto something because he’s low on intelligence & this makes him feel like he’s onto something.

This is someone that thinks ‘off the beacon track’ is a correct phrase.

I think most sensible people would agree that lab origin theory about Covid is potentially plausible, and this has been neither proved or disproved. I don't see that as a "conspiracy theory".

Agree with this, but it's hardly a conspiracy theory. It's simple probability in a near-infinite universe.

I was about to say this! This is the scandal of the 2003 invasion - the sexed up dossier etc. There have been many official reports and investigations that show WMD did not exist.

That kind of research has been going on for a while. Obviously scientists have their faux moral debates and ethics committees before it gets a green light - but it's been happening a very long time in many countries.
