Are there any conspiracy theories you believe in?

Inspired by another thread

I find conspiracy theories really interesting. I have never ‘believed’ any of them, more enjoy discussing them and how likely it seems that they could be true. I also think it’s more far fetched to believe that everything we have ever been told or ever will be told is the whole truth.

Are there any CTs you believe in? Lead me down a rabbit hole please!

@TomorrowTodayYesterday No. Because I have a degree of intelligence.

If you had a degree of intelligence, you would be aware that some conspiracy theories have actually turned out to be true. For example, the Tuskegee syphilis study.

Those who are not sceptical of the powers that be tend to be those with an infantile worldview; those who think that those in charge will always do the right thing and will always adhere to the rules. This is not the case, and there are always things going on that the general public are not aware of.

theDudesmummy · 22/12/2024 20:07

@RichardnotJudy what a load of nonsense. And so rude. Does someone being "introverted" and a "geek" (whatever you mean by that, a learned person maybe?) mean that their opinions in the field in which they are an expert are invalid? I'm pretty introverted and have been called a geek. I am also a well-respected expert in a particular field, which I. like Dr Whitty, have worked in for decades. Would you question my expertise? Again, what would his motive, and the motive of thousands of government scientists around the world have been in imparting incorrect information?

Why sensible people think that Diana was killed off is:

Before she died, Diana wrote a note saying "they are planning a car crash in my car"

She wrote and said all sorts of stuff.

Toseland · 22/12/2024 20:08

I don't believe Meghan gave birth to Archie and Lily.

We don’t know the full truth about JFK assassination

Jack Ruby was just too convenient to be having at the right time

Yes JFK is probably about the only one I believe. They probably wouldn't get away with it these days.

minerva7 · 22/12/2024 20:09

I'm not a conspiracy theorist as such, but I'm with the people that don't think Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. That was just too convenient.

I'm also coming round to the idea that aliens may be coming around/making contact. The stuff that has come out in congress/from the us air force can't be explained away.
It's quite exciting really. Could be a huge shifting point in our world's history.

@RichardnotJudy The German police have basically established that it was a German paedophile who took her. The only issue is that they can't quite get enough evidence together to secure a conviction.

I do think there may have been something damaging in the cover vaccine.

I had it, and my health has never been good since.

I wish I hadn't taken it

There’s a compensation scheme.

wastingtimeonhere · 22/12/2024 20:09

The only one I think could have some traction is covid vaccines by pure numbers are causing health problems in susceptible people.

My colleague has spouted all the following since the start of covid, we have been listening to it daily, he spent a lot of time on our furlough 'researching'...he wasn't as bad before covid just distrusting of 'authority'

chemtrails/ weather control
covid
vaccines- causing mass deaths, clots/ heart..
flat earth
dome over earth ( firmament)
ice wall with territories behind
tunnels between continents
birth bonds
sovereign citizen
McDonald's human meat ( abducted/ abused murdered children)
illuminati -elites
World Economic Forum
agenda 2030
climate change
Jewish conspiracy
Holocaust denial
Lizard people
Aliens/ 'they' will use holograms to replicate invasion in near future, recent alien stuff in USA was to gauge reaction( covid restrictions were practise for mass restrictions) Project Bluebeam is forerunner with drones.
Boat people across Channel are invading army, stealth invasion
paedophile network 'elites' including all Royal family in cohorts with Disney running American paedophile network( see Macdonalds)
Giants

No. Because I have a degree of intelligence.

Conspiracy theories are created by people who get rich by sucking in the gullible. Some could be deemed to be harmless but many are dangerous (e.g those that died from covid because they believed the crackpot antivaxx theories or those that are designed to instil fear such as the 5g bollox). All are designed to be 'interesting' so you keep clicking. Every time you click on a conspiracy theory website you are lining the pockets of these vile people.

Quite a lot have come true, but agree you need to be sensible, and have some humour. If you think the earth is flat and the rich are lizards in suits - Perhaps detox from the internet for a while..

But Covid19 was made in lab and purposely released, red rooms are thing with billionaires, and china is doing mind control in the west via TikTok - And I am all ears

That was widely known though unless you were only reading british newspapers.

So surely she’d be extra-careful about wearing a seatbelt then?

I don’t believe conspiracy theories as such, but I think it’s obvious we’re not always being told the full truth about every single thing.

My favourite conspiracy theories are about the US finding aliens/alien tech, and the Flat Earth theory. The latter is just so bonkers, I don’t get why anyone believes it.

Electric cars are more about air quality. People in inner cities with breathing conditions die when air quality drops. The idiot government pushed diesel engines (remember the take back scheme?) but didn't understand it would create air quality problems. Electric cars are still charged using electricity largely from..fossil fuel.

How do we know she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

We are told what to believe.

They could just say "she wasn't wearing a seatbelt'.

Diana's sister said that Diana always put her seatbelt on

Funny how the enlightened conveniently swerve the topic when what they called conspiracy theories turn out to be true.

Or they get into a ‘yeah but, no but, yeah but….’

Anyone who said in 2020 that Biden was suffering from dementia and in no fit state to sun for President and was just a front man, was totally slated. Even though it was blindingly obvious from the news footage even then.

Anyone who said that Covid was probably man made and leaked purposely, was made out to be a villain. Until the FBI confirmed it.

Anyone who said that the Iraq war was a fraud was called names. Until it turned out that there were no WMDs. Never mind being able to launch them within 45 mins.

Why do you keep saying they're FBI confirmed or proved lab leak?

They haven't, nor have they claimed to. They have said that they consider it the most likely explanation.

The FBI are one of 6 US government industries to have made such an investigation. 4 believe a natural origin is most likely, 2 (including the FBI) believe lab leak is most likely. All say it is uncertain.

Edited

I don’t think governments always do the right thing or adhere to the rules, why would anyone be that stupid? People of normal intelligence are well aware that’s not the case.

I wish I had the kind of faith in governments that would allow me to belive they were sufficiently organised and sophisticated to engage in a high-level conspiracy rather than the typical awkward and fundamentally failed cover up of bad or stupid behaviour. It must be amazing to believe governments are so competent.
