Is semi-skimmed milk a left wing option?

Is semi-skimmed milk a left wing option?

Nigel Farage has posted a video ranting about the milk options at a “smart” London hotel - semi-skimmed, oat milk, and almond milk, appear to be denounced as “left wing options”.

He may have a point about the lack of whole milk, but are other milks left-wing? What kind of milk would be a far-right milk? Or Communist milk?

This is the debate that will define the next decade.

Nigel garage is a moron. I prefer the taste of semiskimmed milk. Whole milk is too creamy for cereal and tea. Not a fan of oat and nut milks really. But then I don’t have issues with dairy.

Precipice · 04/12/2024 16:12

Given the prevalence of UHT milk in my country, formerly part of the Eastern Bloc, I would conclude that that's communist milk ;)

Right-wing and far-right milk would be unpasteurised. Can't have any government red-tape regulations telling us what to do with our milk!

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 04/12/2024 16:13

No! I don’t think milk can have a political affiliation.

I’m hoping Fagash has said something so stupid this time that people see through him a bit more 🤞🏼🤞🏼

BIWI · 04/12/2024 16:14

skimmed milk = red top = left wing
semi-skimmed = green top = green party
whole milk = blue top = right wing

<gavel>

Ladamesansmerci · 04/12/2024 16:14

For real 😭 he does realise people have allergies? Or that maybe some people just prefer oat milk?

My family have only ever had semi-skinned. I've never liked full fat. Can people seriously tell the difference between semi and whole in tea??

Far right milk is obvs from Jeremy Clarkson's farm.

It's totally left wingers who are sensitive snowflakes.

Annabella92 · 04/12/2024 16:15

Raw breast milk is probably pretty right wing as it's natural and leftists are waging war against nature.

Semi skimmed is normie milk. Fully skimmed probably right wing too.

Oat, almond, soy, coconut, probably mostly the domain of blue-hairs

murasaki · 04/12/2024 16:15

Fabulously batshit crazy. While I am left wing, and prefer semi skimmed, I didn't realise it was a political choice that I was subconsciously making.

After all, they seem to have swapped the green lids for white these days, which is much more up Farage's alley.

Ablondiebutagoody · 04/12/2024 16:16

I think that Farage is right on this. Blue top generally, gold top for special occasions.

The fat content of blue top is bugger all. Any other product with that % would be classed "low fat".

DemonicCaveMaggot · 04/12/2024 16:16

Raw milk is only for Trump voters, which is why you don't get it in the UK.

I thought Nesquick was left wing milk as it is pink.

Eetzup · 04/12/2024 16:17

Is 'left-wing milk' better or worse than the 'woke sandwiches' that so upset the Daily Mail the other day, I wonder?

Triggered by dairy products, eh Nige? Honestly, the right are such delicate snowflakes, aren't they?

Yeah but they’re all white tops now!

Please don't mention Farage's 'alley'. There's enough dirt on the internet without adding that into the mix.

Allergies are woke nonsense, obvs.

Comedycook · 04/12/2024 16:18

I only buy full fat. I'd say my politics are just right of centre....

Yeah but they’re all white tops now!

Not in Aldi or Sainsbury's!

I imagine he thinks people with allergies are snow flakes or in reality just doesn’t care but says this shit for more likes.

🤣🤣🤣 apologies. That would be chocolate milk.

Not in Aldi or Sainsbury's!

They are white in my local Sainsbos!

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 04/12/2024 16:22

I think it depends on the cow breed. If the milk is from a British Blue or Belgium Blue cow then right wing. If its from a Jersey or Guernsey cow which are reddish brown left wing.

BIWI · 04/12/2024 16:22

OK - but the labels are still those colours!

murasaki · 04/12/2024 16:22

It's very annoying as you have to actually check rather than just grabbing the one with the right coloured lid.

My local Facebook feed is full of people asking for raw milk producers because of this boaver stuff. Most of them are the same people who post about contrails etc.

I love raw milk and I’m a raving lefty. Not sure where that leaves me!

I thought Nesquick was left wing milk as it is pink.

We used to get Brucellosis tested fresh milk from a local farmer/milkman, rather than pasturised, when I was growing up - don't know if you can still get it.

I don't think it was a positive political, or even culinary, choice though - it was just the sort the milkman had. However, I'm a bit worried now in case I have been indoctrinated in some way? I think Trump is abhorrent but now I'm worried I might be a 'sleeper' and stray phrase will set me off one day.
