Is semi-skimmed milk a left wing option?

Is semi-skimmed milk a left wing option?

Nigel Farage has posted a video ranting about the milk options at a “smart” London hotel - semi-skimmed, oat milk, and almond milk, appear to be denounced as “left wing options”.

He may have a point about the lack of whole milk, but are other milks left-wing? What kind of milk would be a far-right milk? Or Communist milk?

This is the debate that will define the next decade.

Farage should be up ended and left to drown in a butt of oat milk like a latter day poundshop version of the Duke of Clarence.

May146 · 04/12/2024 16:28

I prefer the taste of whole milk. It has no bearing on my political point of view.

soundsys · 04/12/2024 16:28

Haha when I saw your title I was coming on to say "surely oat milk is the left wing choice"

(I'm now slightly alarmed to find myself in tune with Farage Blush)

You will need to consult the relevant cows.

skimmed milk = red top = left wing
semi-skimmed = green top = green party
whole milk = blue top = right wing

<gavel>

Whole milk has a silver top where I live. Even better is Guernsey (gold top) and raw milk (green top).

zaffa · 04/12/2024 16:36

What about soya milk? Is this why I took so long to start voting, because my milk choice didn't give me a clear indication of which way to go?

zingally · 04/12/2024 16:36

I'm very left wing, and only buy whole milk! Tastes better, is more natural etc.

True, I wouldn't like to think that my left wing semi skimmed milk came from a cow who would have voted reform if she could have fitted in a polling booth and held the tiny little pencil in her hoof.

BriocheForBreakfast · 04/12/2024 16:38

I like skimmed in my tea, semi-skimmed at a push but whole milk is way too creamy. I'd drink it in coffee and hot chocolate though so does that swing me back towards the centre?

AgnesX · 04/12/2024 16:39

Why can't he just flounce off and live somewhere that only sells blue top milk (he might be hard pushed...)

Prat.

SybilTheSpy · 04/12/2024 16:40

pasteurised milk is for woke snowflakes.😠

listeria is character building.

teatoast8 · 04/12/2024 16:41

Whole milk all the way. Other milk is shit

murasaki · 04/12/2024 16:43

My mum keeps whole for her, and skimmed for my dad. They are both left wing.

She also seems to think if I put a bit of both in my coffee, I'd end up with the equivalent of semi skimmed. No, mum.

I drank it black, for I am a fussy bugger.

Thymeagain · 04/12/2024 16:45

Do you think he’s just still upset about the milkshake?!

Being a non-vegan, I am now worried about the political affiliations of all the animals from which parts of my diet derive.

<gavel>

Absolutely!!

GotToGetDinner · 04/12/2024 16:49

I'd have thought he'd like any milk as long as it's white.

Can't stand the man. My husband met him once and said his breath stank of alcohol.

I bet he's good chums with Gregg Wallace, or at least defending him ...

That sounds about right.
QED.

Maybe oat , almond, or soya milk, which aren't really milk, let's face it, but perfectly fine beverages for those who want , might have come out of his suit more easily.

So yes, I agree that this may be based on his dry cleaning bill.

catlesslady · 04/12/2024 16:51

I believe I can offer a definitive answer to this.

I have an acquaintance who has met NF twice and hero worships him is very close to our Nige. She has explained to me that Nige is the voice of 'the people' who are also the silent majority. He says what 'the people' are all thinking. If our Nige says something then this means that 'the people' consider that to be true. If 'the people' believe it to be true, it definitely is. If it appears that 'the people' disagree with our Nige, then either the people concerned are not actually 'THE people' at all or they have been brain washed by the mainstream media. It is irrelevant that NF has had a life of privilege.

Applying this to the left wingness (or otherwise) of milk other than full fat, if Nige says it's true, the people think it's true. If the people think it's true then it is. If you don't think it's true you are a woke leftie. If you think you choose other milks for non-political reasons (eg taste, allergies etc) you have obviously been brain washed. If full fat milk causes you to be ill, this must be either in your head or the result of a woke left wing upbringing that has turned you in to a snowflake. Obvious really.

HeadNorth · 04/12/2024 16:51

Nigel is a grifting twat. I've seen the video (for my sins) and it looks like he removed the whole milk so he had something to have an angry whinge about to keep stoking the hatred in his knuckle dragging followers

murasaki · 04/12/2024 16:54

I'm so glad this has come out today, as it is the night for DP's midweek call with his dad, who has recently gone all GB news and voted Reform. I happen to know he has semi skimmed in his fridge so a good poking with a stick session is in order.

jolota · 04/12/2024 16:54

Is it left wing to be lactose intolerant?

It's a bit of a reach, isn't it.

But what is your political orientation, you still have to tell us
