Bigger boob's as you get older

Has this happened to anyone else?

Im 40. I've stayed at pretty much the same weight that I always have been.

But my boob's have gotten so much bigger in the last two years. They are huge. Im all boob!

I've never had children so it's not to do with breastfeeding. Is it something to do with perimenopause? I wish I knew what goes on in our hormones!

Yep size gradually gone up asi have got older 32 b to c to dd and now an e & occasional f. Still a 32! And short so it is not a subtle look & an absolute pain looking for tops.

@HebburnPokemon - weight gain has been a pain for me. I eat less, exercise just as much as I used to, have changed nothing but over half a stone has miraculously appeared, woo fricking hoo. Hope it miraculously disappears when I'm through the other side but I have my doubts

nolifeleft · 15/10/2024 11:48

Not me! Mine small breasts shrunk further after pregnancy, but worse, lost all their firmness. Would love this bigger breasts thing to happen but it just hasn't ( and I am early 50s now).

I just feel that hauling around these massive appendages in my 60s is so pointless - my back aches, no clothes suit me and I'm disgusted at the sight of them.

That's how I feel.

It's like carrying around two massive heavy lumps that have no use.

Our arms have use. Our legs have use.

It's so annoying having something heavy on my body, that is of no use

I'm mentally prepared for this shit

I read somewhere that you put on half a stone in the menopause years and it's extremely hard to shift it. This is definitely my experience. I'm following a slimming plan for breakfast and lunch, sensible food for lunch and minimal snacks but my weight won't change. I've tried walking in the past but that made no difference either.

Sorry to be a misery but that's just my experience and it can be very disheartening.

OnlyFrench · 16/10/2024 13:41

Yep. 32FF until I hit 60, just sent a 34J back because it was like a straight jacket.

Stomach has grown exponentially so I look like Buddha sideways on 🙁

OnlyFrench · 16/10/2024 13:42

@RaraRachael I put on a stone in a couple of months, no idea why and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Finding it all very depressing.

Ednoreilojal · 16/10/2024 13:47

Yes it's really annoying. I have loads of jackets etc that no longer do up over my matronly bosom....

RaraRachael · 16/10/2024 13:54

I've always been a size 12 but am teetering on size 14 now, what with the bigger boobs and weight gain. I know 14 isn't that big but to me, that's a big step pyschologically.

ThinWomansBrain · 16/10/2024 13:59

It's not universal - I used to be a C or D cup, now a B

ihaveliterallynoidea · 16/10/2024 14:02

I'm AA cup and 52. Bring it on!

ImaginativeUserName123 · 16/10/2024 14:02

No they've shrunk but lost elasticity as well possibly due to breast feeding. There are certain angles I don't want to see them at. I don't recommend downward facing dog to test what effect time has had on them.

Gobacktotheworld · 11/10/2024 09:55

An ironing board I was born, and an ironing board I remain.

Same.
Even breast feeding babies I could not find a nursing bra small enough.
I'm 66 now and the same weight I was at 25, at least gravity has not had any effect.

Sedgwick · 16/10/2024 14:25

Yes, age 57 and a good cup size bigger despite bmi 21, never been on the pill or hrt. I miss being a neat 34B. Now a 34D or 36C depending on brands. I keep my weight down by mostly eating one meal a day (big healthy dinner at 6 pm), no bread, no junk. Cross trainer most days. My bust shows no sign of reducing.

Strangerthanfictions · 16/10/2024 14:33

You may not have lost weight but your body composition will probably have changed quite a bit as you've ahed, you'll have likely lost muscle and increased in fat percentage which will account for the bigger boobs. I have been losing weight recently but surprised that the boobs have gone nowhere as they would reduce at same rate as the rest of my body when I was younger. I am a D and I quite like the fact that I'm slimming but they are staying at this size, I do expect a drop eventually though

ObelixtheGaul · 16/10/2024 14:38

Yes and in perimenopause they hurt like they did back when they first developed. I had actual growing pains! What I like is I have now got a cleavage, which I never had before due to the girls being splayed apart. As they grew again, they seemed to huddle closer together for warmth.
