Bigger boob's as you get older

Has this happened to anyone else?

Im 40. I've stayed at pretty much the same weight that I always have been.

But my boob's have gotten so much bigger in the last two years. They are huge. Im all boob!

I've never had children so it's not to do with breastfeeding. Is it something to do with perimenopause? I wish I knew what goes on in our hormones!

Same

Roundthemoon · 11/10/2024 09:39

Womens hormones are the most intricate factory.

Someone could write a thesis on it!

There definitely should be more information out there on peri menopause and menopause, and how to keep ourselves healthy during it.

I've just started taking a peri menopause vitamin supplement.

Yes!

Dulra · 11/10/2024 09:42

Same. I am 48 I think it is definitely to do with perimenopause, including weight gain for the first time in years despite nothing changing regarding my diet or exercise routine.

inabubble3 · 11/10/2024 09:43

Wow! Mine are definitely bigger but I am bigger all over/ assumed the two were related 😂

NooNakedJacuzziness · 11/10/2024 09:43

Wait til your 50s when your gut catches up with your boobs

Maddy70 · 11/10/2024 09:43

Mine are twice the size ...bloody awful

Pinkballoon5 · 11/10/2024 09:44

Doubled in size. It is in order to create a handy shelf to rest your dinner on as you age

JulietSierra · 11/10/2024 09:44

Still as flat chested at 50 as I’ve always been🤷🏻‍♀️

HelloNeighbour2021 · 11/10/2024 09:47

I'm 35 and still waiting for mine to develop 🤣

Grimacethethird353 · 11/10/2024 09:47

Yes the pill did it for me. And putting on weight!

Now I am post menopause my boobs are enormous!

It's not inevitable but I think some of it is genetic as my sister and I who resemble one side of the family are very large of nork, and my other sister, who resembles the other side of family, has stayed petite.

Yes. I’ve gone from 32A in my 20s to an F cup in my 60s. I’ve never had children. It wasn’t weight gain as I only found out I was wearing the wrong bra after losing 2st and my D cup bras still didn’t fit. Went to John Lewis and almost fainted when the lady just looked and said I was likely E or F. As I said I’ve never had children but did undergo a lot of IVF treatment with massive doses of drugs as my ovaries didn’t respond very well. That might have something to do with it. Also getting older as the breast tissue can react like a jelly in warm weather and spread out over the chest a bit more.

Roundthemoon · 11/10/2024 09:49

Are any of you who are in roughly around peri menopause age, taking any supplements?

I do think we need to change our health routine at this age, as our body needs different things.

My boob's are absolutely massive. They're like carrying a shelf around.

Yeah I have this for some reason. Been on skinny side my whole life and that's not changed but have gone from A cup to C cup in my 40s. Hardly massive but quite a change for me.

It's just that area for me, no change in body shape elsewhere (yet!)

smallsilvercloud · 11/10/2024 09:52

Yes, I'm a D cup, big to me as I was always a small B cup in my youth. However I am a few stone heavier too.

Babbahabba · 11/10/2024 09:54

Opposite for me- had a much more hourglass figure in my 20s before kids- big perky boobs & slim waist/flatter stomach (even when I had periods of being fat I had the same basic shape). Now in my mid 40s and fairly slim but my boobs don't carry as much flat & are deflated whereas I carry much more weight round my middle & have a more square shape 😭😭

Trebolle · 11/10/2024 09:54

Yes I hate them. I loved having a 34b

Gobacktotheworld · 11/10/2024 09:55

An ironing board I was born, and an ironing board I remain.

SallyWD · 11/10/2024 09:55

No they haven't. I've always had small boobs - not tiny but maybe slightly smaller than average. I'm now about to turn 50 and they're the same. Breastfeeding didn't change them either.

PussGirl · 11/10/2024 09:56

Mine haven’t changed, still small. SIL’s have increased dramatically. She was always flatter-chested than me and is now really busty.

Roundthemoon · 11/10/2024 09:57

I know we always want what we can't have, but I was looking at a woman in a wedding dress recently. She had really small, but still shapely boob's.

And I was thinking , wow imagine the freedom of not having to carry all that weight around. And being able to do loads of sports and not be in pain

Of course , women have been told by society that they "should" have big boob's.

So I know if I had small boob's I'd probably be complaining about that.

But big boob's are such a huge amount of work. They're so heavy

GroovyChick87 · 11/10/2024 09:58

I was always a double D in my 20s, I'm 36 now a G or a H depending where I buy my bras. I am about a stone and a half heavier and I've had 4 kids so it's probably that.

TheDogsMother · 11/10/2024 09:58

Yes I'm sure it's hormonal as this happened when I went on the pill years ago. They've just turned into a shelf, a mono-boob.
