To be disgusted by the Deafening Silence of Celebrities in the wake of Diddy allegations?

I can't be the only one who's deeply troubled by the silence from certain A-list celebrities following the recent allegations against Sean Combs aka Diddy. It's been weeks since the news broke, and the lack of response from some of his closest associates in the industry is, quite frankly, disturbing.

Let's talk about Jay-Z and Beyoncé, for instance. These two have been thick as thieves with him for years. Countless collaborations, public appearances, and even vacations together. And now? Radio silence. Not even a peep about condemning the alleged actions or distancing themselves from him. It's baffling.

Ashton Kutcher is another one who's keeping silent. Given his vocal stance against human trafficking and exploitation, you'd think he'd be the first to speak up. But nope, nothing.

Now, I want to tread carefully when it comes to Usher and Justin Bieber. There's been speculation about their own experiences, and if they were indeed victims themselves, I absolutely respect their right to process this privately. No one should be forced to relive trauma or speak out if they're not ready.

But for those who weren't victimised? Their silence is deafening. How hard is it to release a statement saying, "I don't condone these actions" or "I had no knowledge of these alleged crimes"? Anything would be better than this awkward void.

I'm honestly shocked that there hasn't been more public backlash against these silent celebrities. In an era where "cancel culture" can be triggered by a misplaced tweet, how are they getting a free pass? Having your longtime friend and associate arrested on such serious charges, and you can't even muster up a word of condemnation? It's beyond disappointing.

What do you all think? Am I being too harsh, or is this silence truly inexcusable? Should we, as consumers and fans, be demanding more accountability from these public figures?

When he gets to the part about the corporate organisations, makes me think informants have played a hand in this.

To those who wonder why others are keeping quiet. What if he doesn't get sentenced and is found not guilty? Unlikely but a possibility; its USA where all kinds of deals concerning criminality can be cooked up. He doesn't sound like the kind of guy who'd forgive 'betrayal' easily.

This will also be why the lawyers want to use pseudonyms in states where possible, they won't even know the names of half the people there. I'd also imagine a lot of exit plans out of the US will be being made just in case.

What do 50 cent and Eminem have against him, as in why do they speak up and others don’t? I wonder why they haven been got rid of by now

50 cent & Eminem are powerful in there own right and write there own music
They don’t need Diddys to promote them as artist
plus 50 is gone into producing more than music with his Gunit tv production

and Diiddy offered to take 50 shopping 😂😂😂50 took great offence at this and been bitching about him ever since

wait for 50 cents documentary on Netflix diddy do it 😂 yes that’s the name

I think Slim had so much respect by majority of the hip hop world, that he quite a few people would be pissed if they did something to him. He writes for a lot of people and his lyric skills, wordplay and cadence are like no one else. It's common knowledge they hate the white dude who can do black music better than most.

I'm not questioning why people have come forward, I believe people have been coming forward and questioning it for years .

I'm questioning why the authorities are listening, why now? Demon puts forward some interesting reasons why they think it is likely.

So many people covering up for so long, it feels like someone has chosen to allow this to come out, rather than it being forced.

I've no more idea than anyone else but another theory I have seen circulating is that Diddy launched a lawsuit against Diageo in May last year, he claimed that they were being racist in the way they marketed Ciroc vodka. BlackRock is a significant shareholder in Diageo, some people think they haven't taken too kindly to him biting the hand that feeds.

I think it's significant that the video of him assaulting Cassie was made public in November but was footage from 2016. Someone has held into that for a reason.

That would actually be even better if it was that, might get the rest of them on the back foot if they think they can't act how they want with impunity, because there will be someone big enough to fuck you over!

@UmbrellaEllaEllaElla exactly but I wish they would all lose their followers as a result of this as it's completely wrong.

If I had a best mate that was arrested for a crime I'd say SOMETHING.

It's safe to say I won't attend a Beyoncé concert again

If your best mate was arrested? So, before she was found guilty - presumed innocent?

Although I think it would be unlikely that Blackrock were entirely ignorant of his unsavoury activities which I think is worse. They would have had to at least suspect that the Cassie video would open the flood gates because on its own it would not have been enough to bring Diddy down.

I dont get the references to 50 getting upset because Diddy offered to take him shopping?

Is it code for some sort of insult?

I’m uncomfortable in general about people passing comment publicly on allegations before there’s been a conviction. It seems more and more common that allegations of sexual misconduct/crime are launched into the public domain and reported as gospel. The alleged offender is tried and convicted in the press. This can lead to criminal cases being scuppered or even not getting off the ground in the first place. Not very satisfactory for any alleged victims, who also often end up having their character picked apart in the press. Other public figures chiming in with their twopence worth are irrelevant.

I do not give a toss either way about Sean Coombs. He, like many other fabulously rich, powerful, successful men who’ve been told they are super talented and can do whatever they want to anyone they want will have treated hordes of young, beautiful women like disposable tissues. At best he’s treated (grudgingly) willing participants hoping for a career boost like utter shit and made them feel like shit. At worst he’s committed criminal sexual assault against many of them. These people have such a warped view of reality (do you listen to the misogynistic lyrics?) they think this is normal behaviour.
But I don’t think it’s for celebrities to chip in before legal proceedings. Cynically, they may make some kind of virtue signalling comment but only if the offender is not part of their tribe!

Many of the alleged victims are 9+ year old boys...

50 had the best selling rap album of 2003 with his debut and won awards for it. Many say it's the best rap album of the 00s so I don't think he'd be dissing him as unsuccessful.

P.diddy was trying to woo 50cent and 50 cent wasn't having it as he already knew of the rumours about what P.diddy gets upto behind closed doors.

P.diddy is the sort who likes to fondle with people he can't control, and 50cent is probably one of the few he never got his hands on. It was almost like he was on the hunt for his next prey.

Why do YOU care? it's yet another person I don't know doing bad things to other people I don't know. Get on with your own life.

Was Cassie a beard then and his ex wife?

If you google 50 cents & Diddy Shopping pi will get why 50 is bitching at Diddy

some of the interviews with 50 cents are so funny

50 cent is jokes

my favourite bit of 50 trolling is when he bought all the first rows of seats at Ja Rule’s shows so he was always performing to a half empty crowd 🙈

I personally feel it’s shitty to name people who haven’t been arrested or convicted of a crime. It feels like many people are more caught up in the celebrity of it all than concerned about the crimes and victims.

It’s not illegal to take part in orgies or do anything sexual between consenting adults. I’d bet many celebrities named may swing or may be closeted or bisexual and that’s fine. But they may be worried about their preferences being out there and damaging their careers as we all know how weird fans and the media can get.

Just because you attended a wild party doesn’t mean you took part in or were aware of crimes taking place at the same party or later on or in other rooms.

The focus should be on the illegal activities, sex trafficking, rape, drugging. Mixing that up with celebrity titillation and McCarthy style witchunts trivialities the crimes and does a disservice to any victims. .

The victims are naming people who are celebrities, and some of those names have been out there for a while, from people who know and have experienced it. So nah, we won't stop naming them and letting them sulk in the shadows.
