To be disgusted by the Deafening Silence of Celebrities in the wake of Diddy allegations?

I can't be the only one who's deeply troubled by the silence from certain A-list celebrities following the recent allegations against Sean Combs aka Diddy. It's been weeks since the news broke, and the lack of response from some of his closest associates in the industry is, quite frankly, disturbing.

Let's talk about Jay-Z and Beyoncé, for instance. These two have been thick as thieves with him for years. Countless collaborations, public appearances, and even vacations together. And now? Radio silence. Not even a peep about condemning the alleged actions or distancing themselves from him. It's baffling.

Ashton Kutcher is another one who's keeping silent. Given his vocal stance against human trafficking and exploitation, you'd think he'd be the first to speak up. But nope, nothing.

Now, I want to tread carefully when it comes to Usher and Justin Bieber. There's been speculation about their own experiences, and if they were indeed victims themselves, I absolutely respect their right to process this privately. No one should be forced to relive trauma or speak out if they're not ready.

But for those who weren't victimised? Their silence is deafening. How hard is it to release a statement saying, "I don't condone these actions" or "I had no knowledge of these alleged crimes"? Anything would be better than this awkward void.

I'm honestly shocked that there hasn't been more public backlash against these silent celebrities. In an era where "cancel culture" can be triggered by a misplaced tweet, how are they getting a free pass? Having your longtime friend and associate arrested on such serious charges, and you can't even muster up a word of condemnation? It's beyond disappointing.

What do you all think? Am I being too harsh, or is this silence truly inexcusable? Should we, as consumers and fans, be demanding more accountability from these public figures?

@Puttheneedleontherackets;

•	John Donahoe - Nike's CEO
•	Kaz Kobayashi - Warner Music Japan
•	Randy Goodman - Sony Music Nashville
•	Robert Sumas - Village Supermarket
•	Bharat Masrani - TD Bank
•	David Goubert - Ayr Wellness (Cannabis operator)

Are they all music industry related?

I agree though in general. This is as big as Epstein. Many of us will have spent hours in our bedrooms and clubs listening and buying this music. It was a huge part of my teenage years.

I think a lot of these celebrities have dirt on their hands. A lot have probably been to at least one of his parties. Maybe not staying for a freak off. So I bet a lot of them are keeping quiet because if they say something and condemn it, then soon enough their pics will be all over social media etc of them at a party or with Diddy or something like that. I bet a lot are too scared to say anything.

I think a lot are probably worried about their careers. Some maybe even worried about getting in trouble with a law also.

notaurewhatusername · 30/09/2024 21:29

@fashionqueen0123 they're not all music but his influence spans across more than music he's also a businessman has clothing, Ciroc vodka and I think there's more things he's involved with

What exactly was a freak off

The freak-off was the after party ( though I'm sure they happened just as an event themselves too) that required all the baby oil that was siezed. Add the trafficking and other charges and you ll get the idea of them, there's been whisperings about them for years. Lots of celebrities attended the White Party and other shindigs he threw over the decades but who stayed for the freak offs is the question

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 21:54

@MILLYmo0se Were the women, men 🤷🏻‍♀️forced into things or hired to be there and went?
Are there victims coming out giving evidence

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 21:55

I’m also reading quite a lot about Ashton kutcher and also Brittany Murphy

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 22:00

@fashionqueen0123 No I mean suspicion around her death and another one from pneumonia, all could be conspiracy though!
I loved her too 😢

Implications seem to be that it was a combination, trafficked victims, sex workers through other arrangements, drugging people, women in relationships coercied into taking part. Then there's the rumors of young males trying to break into the industry being passed around, Diddy had teens/young men under his guardianahip

ObsidianTree · 30/09/2024 22:02

Also, Diddy apparently recorded everything. So it any of these celebs were at his parties and did things they shouldn't have, it's all on tape. Diddys house got raided... There is a good chance these tapes are with the authorities.

fashionqueen0123 · 30/09/2024 21:00

Why would they want to kill Aaliyah? Because of R Kelly?!

Well, the allegation stems from Jay Z jealousy over Dame Dash being with her, and he was beefing with Dash while wanting to be with her. She was also connected to Diddy around the R Kelly time, so God knows how many of them took advantage of her when she was young!
That whole New York collective is sinister as hell. That's also why spotlight is on JLo and MJB, Jaguar Wright has said they both need arresting along with Diddy. Also alleged is Nicki Minaj, not necessarily involved to the extent as others, but supposedly happy to cover up for people.

Diddys tunnels lead into Hugh Heffners house, and Clive Davis and Jim Iovine are more names being put into the spotlight too at the minute. The whole thing is just mind blowing.

I’ve been following, can’t believe how wide reaching the impact will be! Apparently he’s singing like a canary so watch this space…

Source?

Lampzade · 30/09/2024 22:12

I read one of the lawsuits against Diddy and a former bodyguard. They allegedly drugged and raped the lady and then threatened to harm her if she told anyone
Her name is Thalia Graves and she is being represented by Gloria Allred
The details in the lawsuit are distressing to say the least. I actually felt physically sick.
As others have pointed out some posters have dismissed this case as irrelevant probably because Diddy is a black rapper.
The man is not simply a rapper , he is an astute businessman with his fingers in many pies
Rumours about him have been rife for many years, but he has obviously been protected for some reason. The chickens have now come home to roost.

Yep
I am sure some celebs are shitting themselves.
Jlo allegedly carried a gun for him when they visited nightclubs

I’d imagine that there’s a good chance that there’s law enforcement personnel and politicians on those recordings too.

HillsNValleys · 30/09/2024 22:20

Unless there is a lot more to come, I think it’s unfair JLo & MJB are being dragged into this. JLo dumped him and disassociated herself with him 20+ years ago after the shooting incident. MJB also extricated herself from his camp pretty early on.

Fwiw, minor stuff compared to some of the allegations being made now, but in the late 90s/early 00s (around the time he was with JLo) he had several parties at clubs in London. There was no ‘freak off’ nonsense, but he definitely wasn’t faithful to JLo, that’s for sure. Plenty a ‘scene’ girl at that time would have stories to tell…

Ashton was AWFUL to Brit. Horrible. There's a reason she developed an eating disorder.

She was way too good for him.

121Diet · 30/09/2024 22:25

Unsurprised about any of the slebs mentioned. Slimes

murasaki · 30/09/2024 22:26

Nicki Minaj is married to a convicted rapist and her brother, who she has defended, is in jail for raping an 11 year-old, so her compass is way off whack, to put it mildly.

murasaki · 30/09/2024 22:27

Sorry, 'attempted rapist' for the husband.

Demonhunter · 30/09/2024 22:29

The stuff coming out goes far beyond the most named people too. Dave Chappelle and Katt Williams have said about the shady stuff on the comedy and TV circuit too. A lot on the comedy circuit are suspicious of Kevin Hart being a plant, because of how he came to prominence in comparison to the norm and they claim there's something not quite right about him.
Did anyone see the way he shushed Kelly Clarkson when she was saying about turning down millions being thrown in her face to do things she didn't want to do. A good few years ago I saw something from, who at the time it happened, was an up and coming MTV producer and Dave Chappelle told him to never accept invites to any of the parties otherwise he would end up selling his soul. I think too many people have been too scared of what would happen to them if they spoke out widely.

Of course a lot of these things are merely allegations, but there's no smoke without fire.

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 22:32

Something not quite right about Kevin hart, in what way?
