Wearing mascara on your lower lashes?

I’ve tried it but my eyes are too watery and it looks a mess. But I absolutely love the look.

Does anyone do this? I rarely see this look.

I always put mascara on both sets

No, they don't. I have long bottom lashes and they always smudge.

Always on top and bottom. I've never heard of anyone only doing one?

I have never been able to wear mascara on my lower lashes. My eyes are very sensitive and I can only really wear Clinique mascara and eyeliner.

I've always done both and never realised people didn't!

Surely you just use waterproof mascara and it won’t smudge?
I would say most people do mascara on both.
Personally I only do it on the top ones as I prefer that look.

The Tarte XL is amazing.
Maybelline Sky High is okay as a cheaper rotation but not quite as amazing.

It won't smudge ever and removes with warm water.

Alternatively get your eyelashes tinted and it will help make the top mascara look more cohesive.

The fashion at the moment is no bottom lash mascara according to all the beauty influencers... but I personally think my eyes don't look balanced.

I've always done it on both. I just use a waterproof mascara. The only time it smudges is if I sneeze as it's going on and I clamp my eyes shut!

I just use eyeliner on the bottom, no mascara. But I'm pale and use brown mascara and eyeliner so it doesn't look unbalanced as it is quite subtle anyway.

I only wear it on my top lashes, just prefer it that way now!

I just put a bit on the tips as my tips are so bleached. I just show what I really have rather than make them something they aren’t.

It’s getting tricky because it’s very hard to put on mascara while wearing your glasses so you can see.

I have VERY sparse lower lashes and it looks awful when I put mascara on them.

I have mine tinted, £8, lasts 4-6 weeks and has a really noticeable effect. I don't wear mascara day to day just curl my lashes, but add mascara on top lashes for more glam occasions, and use a spooly to brush the lower set into little spiky groups.

I've only ever worn it on my top lashes. Glad to hear I'm fashionable for once. I don't wear anything on the bottom, no liner or shadow either.

I only do the top. I’ve got quite pale skin and long dark lower lashes so it looks a bit overkill to do the bottom. They look like spider legs.

Yes but a different mascara to my top lashes! I use this one (you can also use a tepe brush dipped in normal mascara)

Never on the bottom, I think it makes people look more tired

I only do top because I've got very allergic eyes. Even with just the top i can end up looking like a panda within the hour with the wrong mascara.

Only ever do the top, I have tiny wispy bottom
lashes and it looks really spidery and a bit daft when I tried doing both!
