Sara Cox please just stop!!!

I've heard her put on a weird voice and repeatedly say, 20+ times, Scooby Dooby Doo in said weird voice. Turned off and 10 minutes later went into a shop that had Radio 2 on and she was still doing it. FFS she's paid a fortune for that nonsense and we're paying through the licence fee.

Do live in SE now but have lived all over including Manchester. It's not the accent although can't stand listening to Paddy McGuinness but love Vernon, it's the tone.

Can’t believe Radio 2 replaced the great Chris Evans with Zoe Ball. I don’t mind Sara Cox-but she’s better on TV. I really enjoyed the dating show with all the slightly awkward farmers. She was warm and funny.

I don’t mind Sara in small doses but I have to switch Scott Mills off instantly. He’s just utterly inane. Dim and dull in equal measure.

I've never heard of her, so googled- Her voice just sounds Northern English, and typical of a ''Radio 2'' light radio show, where music is twittering away in the background.

It's not the accent of Sara Cox that grates on me personally. It is the hoarse throaty sound of her voice , like she needs to cough or clear her throat. Still I am sure she is not bothered what I think. Good for her to get paid to talk shite .

I like Sara, I didn't in her girly show days. Don't like Zoe and her attendance is shocking ( not just about her mother dying but long before), if she was in a normal job, I'm sure she would be managed out!

There is a reason R2 looses listeners month on month … the presenters. Seems like the only qualification you need to be a DJ is to be a mediocre stand up.

As for Paddy … left Bolton as soon as he could, yet has the most exaggerated accent I’ve ever heard. We just don’t talk like that.

As a Bolton resident I dint think paddy,s accent is,exaggerated, some Bolton accents are very Broad .

YAbU I think Sara Cox is lush. Very funny and down to earth.

OK, I'll wade in... not a fan of Zoe Ball and prefer Sara Cox but she can get a bit "oooh, I'm mad, me!" sometimes. Paddy McGuiness can GTF. Bally not a bad replacement on love songs but don't listen to that much anymore. Can't take to Scott Mills in the afternoon. I used to like Ken but stuck with Vernon and actually quite like him. Rylan should leave his mum out of it and play better music but he's a nice guy. I used to like Graham Norton on a Saturday but he's long gone. They do seem to change DJ's a lot.

Anyway, the shows I'd really recommend on Radio 2 (if you're of a certain age) is Jonny Walker on Sunday afternoon and Angela Griffin late night Sunday chill. Trevor Nelson or Spoony most nights from 10pm is worth a listen.

Sara, Vernon, Paddy....I'm seeing a common theme here. Maybe it's just the Bolton accent that seems to grate on some folk?

Getting rid of Steve Wright for Scott Mills was baffling. I’ve tried listening but there is just nothing about him. I don’t mind Dermott and Sara. The rest are awful. I listen to Virgin at breakfast but sometimes have to switch super rich Chris ‘well-being guru’ Evans off.

I Love Vernon, never really listen to Zoe as I start work at 9 30.
Turn Scott off instantly and tried to listen to Sara the odd time I am working later- Can't listen for long she is annoying.
Don't mind Gary Davies as a stand in.

I like all of the radio 2 crowd, used to love them on radio 1 too. I’m glad the older ones have gone. Wish Tony Blackburn and the sounds of the 70’s chap would go too!
