OK I'll start by saying I've never really liked Oasis' songs but I think Noel is quite talented. I also like some of the stuff they've both done since Oasis. But whenever I see Liam perform either solo or with the band I can't help but wonder why people rate him so much? He just stands there with his hands behind his back (doesnt ge get neckache?) & hits a tambourine occasionally. He doesn't seem to have much stage presence. Happy to be proved wrong

Yeah Liam & Noel are funny, they've mellowed as they've got older. Not convinced Liam has much humour onstage though!

I just saw LG on the recent tour and safe to say, I didn’t get it. Heard lots of others saying they preferred the support act. DH loved it though.

What to do then, right, is find a lad who can slightly hold a tune and get him onstage to stand still and sing Beatles inspired guitar tunes upwards into a microphone and sell out stadiums all over the UK. Anorak optional. On you go.

I’m hoping to get tickets for next year’s tour so I’ll tell you after that! My god-daughter wants to go, she wasn’t born when Oasis were last performing but is a big fan, so of course I will do my duty and accompany her. I actually do want to go anyway, so it’s a good excuse as I’d love to take her. I’m a big fan of their music, but not so much of Noel & Liam themselves I must admit!

I loved Oasis back in the day - saw them live twice. And both times came away thinking "meh". Liam is shite live.

Maybe one of them will be a robot.

Or they will perform on opposite ends of the stage. Never acknowledge each other and walk off into different changing rooms. Never to meet in person.

One he’s good looking and has good clothing and two he is a cocky Mancunian with swagger.

(One thing that always amazes me about him is his ability to say what the hell he likes, if he was female no way would be get away with it).

In the same way, some people don't like Mick Jagger and some do, Liam is the same. Personally, I like him over Noel and think he has a better voice and far more stage presence.

It was all part of the scene at the time, they were the tail end of the Madchester scene, with Noel having been a roadie in that time, Oasis were like a progression of that. He was what a lot of young lads modelled themselves on - fashion ans culture wise. That nostalgia is what keeps him popular.

The band made half a good album and a shitload of dross so it's not much to do with talent.

He's nothing like Mick Jagger. Young Mick Jagger was sexy, Liam would leave a dirty ashtray and an empty pint glass next to the bed and fuck off as soon as he came. Young Mick would have kept you up all night and you wouldn't have cared what he left behind.
