Apologies for the grabby title. I've NC'd for this as I have a few running threads currently with very outing and personal details on.

Anyway back to the point.
I see SO many threads on here where the topic about the thread is about a guy. It's not even necessarily bad about the bloke in question, but so many many posters just seem to hate men. Not give them the benefit of the doubt. Tear them a new arsehole for merely posting on MN asking for advice. There was a thread recently about a woman seeing a really nice guy, a gentlemen as she described him where he had been separated for literally YEARS but wasn't divorced. Turns out there were cultural differences meaning divorce in that country is very rare. People kept saying 'throw him back in the sea' 'he's a liar' one poster called him a wanker.. there was no evidence that he was a wanker and the OP seemed happy with the guy. Just more people clutching for their moment to berate men. It's always the guys fault on here no matter what.

It's always the same posters more often than not berating men, shooting them down, and just hating them. I wonder, do these women posters have sons? If so, do you think your sons are exempt from such awful insults because 'my boy would never'? I can't imagine these posters talking about their sons like that. So do you pick and choose, is it one rule for your sons and one for all other men?

Before it labelled being 'cool' I have just got out of a 10 year abusive relationship where ex cheated multiple times to the point of police involvement. I am not naive to think some of these guys deserve what they get.

AIBU? To think there's huge double standards? To call strangers with no reason to, wankers, but to also think the son shines out of your son's arses?

I know I'll probably ruffle some feathers but I'd genuinely like to know. And yes I have DC.

Even if you did just name change (which you didn't), why change from this name, which is only on this thread, to a different name that's only on this thread? You haven't used either name anywhere else so there's nothing outing from either name and therefore nothing to hide.

I actually think OP is enjoying this derail.

I asked her a serious question a few posts back, which she’s dodged, namely if you think violence against women is a serious issue that needs more traction, why start a thread to obfuscate the horrors perpetuated by the class of men?

How do you "accidentally" switch, within a thread, to a username you've never used for anything else?

If you could care to read just only a couple of posts below, you'll see I've reported the thread and asked them to clarify. Hopefully you'll then stop chomping at the seams.

Also you said originally that the second name to appear on this thread had outing information on it, because you were using it elsewhere on the site while simultaneously posting on this thread under the name in the OP. But it doesn't, it's only on here, halfway through.

No, it's really not clear.

I do have outing information. There's a thread running at the moment which is going through very detailed information about my cancer diagnosis and treatment plan. As I change usernames WEEKLY, I don't want to risk it coming up here or being identified.

Fucking hell, the interrogation for changing a name. Some of you really must have very empty lives if this is the stuff that gets you going!

That isn't how it works though. You cannot accidentally change part way through, it has to be deliberately done.
How many other usernames have you created to post on this thread OP?

I’m actually starting to feel a bit sorry for OP now, so I’m going to lay off. I’ll check back in a bit to see if the thread has disappeared in a puff of smoke (likely) or if OP has been vindicated by MNHQ as the only poster able to change name mid-thread (unlikely).

It’s all getting a bit unpleasant. I would hope OP had learned something about not coming into a female space and berating everyone for being mean to the menz. But I’m not that naïve.

I have started a thread which I knew would cause some friction.

I have explained in this thread that my other threads have identifiable information about my cancer diagnosis, and also a thread asking for help about a condition my daughter has which is very complex and life limiting.

There is absolutely ZERO need for you to go that far. Dealing with just one of those things is hard enough. You can say a lot of things to me, but bringing in my sick child into the topic to stick the boot in is disgusting. Takes a very low person to that. Says a lot about you.

This is all about me accidentally using an incorrect name. You are nothing short of a bully.

Ok. I genuinely think that if you are telling the truth and MNHQ look into it they will find it’s a glitch that needs fixing. And this thread might disappear.

@BernardBlacksBreakfastWine I know how I came across isn't going to be to everyone's taste, but when I'm getting accused by multiple posters at this point of something I genuinely haven't done, I'm not exactly going to sit back and stay silent. Yes I've said some questionable things on here but I am telling the truth. I've tried to prove it and it didn't get me anywhere. I'm sincerely hoping MN will come along and confirm. Even if it is a glitch.

But for everyone to jump down my throat about it when I haven't posted from multiple accounts, and for then people to bring my very poorly little girl in it, I'm going to get my back up. I understand the threads not to everyone's taste, I knew that when I posted it. Some of these comments (including my own) have gone too far. But bringing in my daughter to a topic that has nothing to do with her and for a poster to make out that I need to 'check on her' has tipped me over the edge.

Also as per my screenshots, if those usernames were from a different account, it would say 'username unavailable'

That's as much proof as I can give.
