Mine is ‘buttery soft’…If you haven’t come across this phrase, it is mainly used when describing leggings or other clothes, but now I’ve even seen it being used to describe gold jewellery! Also butter isn't that soft…Margariney soft doesn’t have the same ring to it I suppose.. Anyone else?

"I for one" riles me
Starting sentences with "OK, so ......"
Run, don't walk!

Mardyybum · 05/08/2024 23:25

‘It’s giving’ 🤢

SeeTheWorldAnotherWay · 05/08/2024 23:33

Reach(ing) out.
Living my/their best life.
My bad.
You / they did us proud.
Using ‘off of’ instead of from (seriously, it makes no fucking sense!).
Thoughts and prayers.

Shakespeareandi · 05/08/2024 23:35

"The ick" "scrummy" "picky bits" "spat out my tea" and " can't miss things to do" (when asking for travel tips)

Coughsweet · 05/08/2024 23:42

Colourway - very popular on Boden threads but they have gone by the wayside in more recent years.

Puddock1 · 05/08/2024 23:48

Saying that someone “did amazing” instead of “amazingly” annoys me.
Using super instead of very or really.
Agree with the previous poster who cringes at the phrase “I did a thing”. Equally annoying is “I’ve only gone and done it”

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/08/2024 23:50

This one
The boy/girl done good
Human instead of person
And just like that...

RabbitsRock · 05/08/2024 23:54

WickieRoy the Americans did originally - blimey it’s like pulling teeth!

JohnTheRevelator · 05/08/2024 23:54

Poop (instead of poo)

A bite to eat.

'Can I get....' instead of "Can I have....'

Someone starting a sentence with 'I don't mean to be rude..... Anyone who says this at the start of a sentence IS going to be rude!

KimberleyClark · 05/08/2024 23:55

Daisy38 · 05/08/2024 22:01

‘Embarrassed of’ when it should be ‘embarrassed by’.

And ‘excited for” when it should be “excited about”.

otravezempezamos · 05/08/2024 23:56

Gets your juices flowing (heard that on the radio earlier from a man - ughhh)

Full time mum (even worse if mummy)

Picky (anything)

It is what it is (arrogant and dismissive)

RabbitsRock · 05/08/2024 23:59

JohnTheRevelator that’s reminded me about “I’m not being funny” - mostly people are being blunt or rude!

Poppypops76 · 06/08/2024 00:02

“Can I get” instead of “please may I have?”

Should of

Like (“he was like and then I was like etc)

It’s all good

Poppypops76 · 06/08/2024 00:10

“So THIS happened…”

QueenBitch666 · 06/08/2024 01:34

Picky bits gives me the rage 😡

sammylady37 · 06/08/2024 05:27

‘Bore off’ and ‘do one’ appear here quite a bit and I find them intensely annoying

Usercyzabc · 06/08/2024 05:32

GrazingSheep · 05/08/2024 21:27

A red lip.
A smokey eye.

Stop

Usercyzabc · 06/08/2024 05:34

Pop anywhere, cheeky this, cheeky that. Ugh no no no.

Usercyzabc · 06/08/2024 05:35

Forgot ‘spill the tea’

lifesrichpageant · 06/08/2024 05:43

"pampering" in almost any context makes me ragey

Thebellofstclements · 06/08/2024 05:48

Wait list (waiting list🤯)
Search up (look up)
Swap out (swap)
"Meds", "bloods" (medicine, blood test results, you're not on ER ffs)
Singular fashion terms eg. A wideleg pant, a bold lip, a smokey eye
There are so many 🤯

Tarkan · 06/08/2024 06:01

Chop chop
Moreish
Picky bits
My bad
Life hacks (everything is a hack now it seems)
Bulky pee pad (I may have the TV on and just saw this ad)

Auburngal · 06/08/2024 06:11

Cuppa
Yummy Mummy
”wot’s yer cheapest baccy?”
”oh it’s busy” when you are shopping at the busiest time of the week
Chinky (for Chinese)
Cheeky (wine, takeaway/delivery, cake)

Usercyzabc · 06/08/2024 06:17

@Thebellofstclements those are all utterly hideous (bold lip/smokey eye is painful in fact) and yes search up, I only heard that from primary school age children, where has it come from??!!

Auburngal · 06/08/2024 06:18

Wowsers
