Totally disgusted by those rioting in Southport

Southport has experienced the most unbelievable tragedy.

Their emergency services had to respond to probably the most traumatic calls they’ve ever had, yet tonight they are being attacked by thugs?

The latest is that these people are destroying people’s homes to get bricks with which to throw at the police.

I am heartbroken, bewildered and disgusted. How dare they destroy the homes of that grieving town.

That concept is not relevant in this instance. The EDL believe it is related because they believed the bollocks they read on the internet, that it was a Muslim perpetrator. A nonsense that has since been withdrawn by the American news agency that made the bogus claim.

I'm not in the UK so have to depend on social media to get information. Are these riots happening where the children were stabbed ? Where the families live ? Why are they tormenting these poor families after what they have been through .

Why are they burning police vans ? Didn't the police help ?

I don't think a 17 year old is really a child. Legally it is but a 17 year old definitely knows right from wrong. And they definitely know the consequences of their actions.

There's no need to be so rude. I only asked some questions, the BBC site is about the Olympics and Israel and a small piece about the riots with a video of a burning police van. I don't know the area so asked a question to people who know the area.
