Joining in on this thread! I had 3rd round of poly back in December and a week later I had huge eye bags appear which weren’t there before. I went back and the lady administered PRP under my eyes, we did this on multiple occasions, I also did lymphatic drainage and nothing works. The eye bags are still there and my eyes are much darker than before. It’s made me so self conscious so I know how you all feel! It’s so odd because the first two rounds of it my eyes were totally fine I had no issues at all. After reading some comments on here and doing some research I’m going back to my lady this week and she’s going to micro dose hyaluronidase. I hoping that works! I will keep you updated

Good luck, it worked for me. I was fine the first time I had PN with no reaction at all (but definitely no improvement either). Was told I needed 2-3 sessions to see any benefit and on the second treatment 4 weeks later my under eyes ballooned within the hour. I couldn’t leave the house it was so bad. I would tell everyone I know to avoid PN…it’s obviously not stable/predictable enough and not enough benefit even without the reaction. Never again! I was back to normal within an hour of dissolving but it was immediate the bags started to shrink back as the dissolve was injected. 🤞

Hi. Sorry you are going through this also. Have you ever had a HA filler under your eyes? Keep us posted on the dissolving, hopefully that will help and you have it sorted.

Ruthepearce · 14/04/2025 08:31

I’ve never had any filler under my eyes, the only thing I’ve had is either PRP where my own plasma is injected under my eyes and I’ve had skin boosters twice. Neither of those are filler. I’m going tomorrow for my first micro dose to dissolve so I’ll keep you updated

AngieBei · 15/04/2025 15:36

Thanks for the update. I’m seeing my injector on Thursday evening to try a dissolve. I already feel it will fail but if that’s the case it only leaves the fat pad as the reason which must have been pushed forwards by the PN swelling. So one step closer. Glad it resolved for you - i recall yours were really bad. I know I can camouflage my one swelling a bit. Agree with others though that I’d never touch PN again!

Hi. Just wondering if you had your dissolving done and if it’s got any better?

Ruthepearce · 21/04/2025 07:04

Hiya, I did and so far it’s not made much of a difference unfortunately. It was a very minimal dose though. I’m going back again Friday for another and I might say to add more in and see if that makes a difference. If not then I’m at a complete loss 😞
how are you getting on?

Hi,

thank you for your reply. I am sorry to hear. I tried the topslise cream twice and it’s made no difference whatsoever. The eye bags the same as two months ago, the manufacturer is not saying anything eligible. It’s extremely frustrating. Let me know if the second round of dissolving helps tomorrow, thank you so much for sharing!

AngieBei · 24/04/2025 16:30

I had my first dissolve last week. It didn’t look any better at the time. The day after it looked a lot flatter but I think some of that was swelling from the injection evening the area out. A week later I can see it is a little flatter so am going back for a second try. After that I’ll continue with my microcurrent device and see what happens. If it is fat pad the clinic have said they wouldn’t consider a surgical solution for a few months until the under eye has settled so I won’t have any choice but to wait and see.

Ruthepearce · 24/04/2025 19:12

Mines been over a week now and I also had a microneedling facial this week and dare I say it but my eye bags are looking flatter. I’m hoping it continues that way. I think with hyaluronidase it can take a good few weeks to see the full results if you haven’t previously had filler.

Hi - can I ask what ended up happening with your puffiness post PN? Did you do anything to treat it? I have two puffy sausages under my eyes since having PN which are not going down! I did have some filler dissolved in my tear trough 8 years ago - could it be this? I’m absolutely gutted as I look so much worse than before the PN! Any help much appreciated

Hi. How long ago did you have the PN done? Has it been weeks?

Natzinoodle · 26/04/2025 20:54

Hi everyone I have the same sausages under my eyes, two days in. I had just PN plinest and some Botox in brow line, never had any filler and am absolutely devestated how bad I look. My practitioner says it’s normal but from the sounds of things on here it isn’t. I will go back on Monday and am massaging and taking anti histamines. Just feel so hurrendous as it’s my first experience of injections

Shellypreggo · 26/04/2025 21:39

Hi @Anothermum25 - it has been 4 days now and there’s been absolutely no change in the puffiness. Attaching a pic for reference
Hi @Natzinoodle I know exactly how you feel. I look sooo much worse than pre PN! I am massaging and antihistamines too but it has made no difference
Has anyone had any success getting rid of the swelling ??

Hi, I will post my before and after. These are taken within a few hours of each other. For me the dissolve worked immediately, the nurse calculated the amount of Hyaluronidase to use based on the PN that another practitioner had used on me when I swelled. The original practitioner said it wouldn’t work but luckily I went to another nurse and she agreed to try. My eyes were dehydrated afterwards and I would say it’s taken a few weeks for the more crepey skin to start bouncing back but I had so much swelling I was grateful for a few lines and normal under eyes. Strong antihistamine and prednisone steroid did not help me at all so it wasn’t an allergic reaction there was actual product collected under my eye. The nurse who dissolved said it presented like HA filler. Hope this helps anyone still struggling with this. Not my best look 😂 but if it helps…

Wow that’s night and day. Mine looks really similar - I keep wondering did they put filler in by mistake bjt they keep telling me it’s completely normal. I can see mine is the PN liquid that has collected and not absorbed. I’m assuming not everybody’s body will absorb the material. Absolute nightmare since I got them will never do anything like this again

Thanks for replying I’m going to go back this week and try and get mine dissolved even though they say they can’t do it it’s worth a try x

LadyDancealot · 27/04/2025 09:43

Echoing concerns on dissolving - years ago Jane Olver did great job dissolving a sausage two prominent plastic surgeons told me was a slipped fat pad that needed surgery. More recently, an experienced aesthetics Dr used ultrasound for guided dissolve and it was awful- loads of tissue loss which didn’t return due to my age (I assume). Luckily, I was booked in for facelift which helped.

Same, I suspected it wasn’t PN too as I didn’t have this the first time I tried it. But heard and seen so many similar problems since. Some PN does have HA in it apparently? I had Lumi eyes, contacted the manufacturer but they were no help and just gave a generic answer of speak to your practitioner. I do think the less dissolve needed, the better so as not to destroy natural HA in the skin but I’m so glad I did it. I was not leaving the house with those sausage lumps there!

Natzinoodle · 27/04/2025 11:16

Just sharing in case it helps anyone else. I’m 48 hours in now and the PN solution just seemed to be sat in my tear trough area not dissolving. So after speaking to the therapist I’ve been doing lymphatic massage around the eye area not on the PN injection site 3 times a day and taking antihistamines. Today I have massaged the PN insertion spot into my skin with a little more pressure and it seems to be flattening out. I’ve no idea what I’m going to be left with but it does seem to be going down. Xx

sausage lumps is the perfect way to describe them! I know it’s really not funny but this did make me chuckle. Thankyou for replying. I can see mine going down hour to hour- they seem to be worse at night time. But I will not be going back for second and third lot I’ve paid for it’s just a bit too risky at the moment. They way the companies are not willing to help either is scary:

I did have Botox and it’s been great absolutely no issues

AFrankExchangeofViews · 27/04/2025 20:27

I had Seventy hyal skin booster under my eyes a few years ago and it did this. Massive bags which took nearly a year to recede. I used to massage them with oils in the evening and I think that helped. Definitely the hyaluronic acid caused it, was supposed to dissipate but didnt just sat there. Would never bother with any of it again too much can go wrong. I joined the facebook group Facial Damage from Radiofrequency and Lasers Support Group, after an IPL facial left me sick and swollen for a week, helped me to realise how often and how bad these things can go wrong.
