I'll message you!

I had them under eyes. What has gone wrong?

Paperclip34 · 25/07/2024 22:11

A month later and they still look so swollen! Apparently this is the treatment 'working' but I can't seem to find anyone who's experienced swelling for so long? Did you? I'm a bit gutted really it's made my bags so much worse

You must have an allergy to them?

No I didn’t get any swelling. Don’t really want to tell you that but maybe you’ve had a reaction and in a few weeks the swelling will go down and be back to normal. Maybe antihistamines for a few weeks? I’ve had a few things go wrong now and have come to the conclusion there’s too many risks with different procedures. I think it’s becoming too normalised to get filler and the latest injectable.

Piffle11 · 25/07/2024 22:20

I was also thinking perhaps you have had an allergic reaction.

I had the treatment done a couple of months ago - whole face and under eye: little raised bumps/red marks for a day or two, then all good. But no swelling whatsoever.

Ihateboris · 25/07/2024 22:52

I had this under the eyes and had no swelling at all. I wonder if you had an allergic reaction as other posters have suggested? Two weeks seems a long time.

bananacreampie · 25/07/2024 23:21

Given this treatment apparently "uses DNA fragments extracted from salmon", I also suspect you are having an ongoing allergic reaction to the fish.

YourNaiceBiscuit · 29/12/2024 22:13

Hey did you get this resolved? Had mine a month ago too and my eye bags are incredibly swollen and puffy. Asked the woman to dissolve it and she said theres nothing to dissolve but dont understand why my under eye bags are even worse than before

Functioningdisaster · 29/12/2024 22:23

Recipient here ..any bumps / bruising or swelling went down within 24 hours. Had procedure done under cannular and injections.

Your practitioner should be able to assist you. If they can't/ haven't I would be reporting them. They shouldn't leave you like this.

If they can't assist, please seek medical advice. Possibly a reaction to the product but you can't be sure.

Good luck x

The PN will have been fully absorbed and processed by your body now. However the swelling will be there for a reason.
Have you previously had Hyaluronic acid filler in the past? This is the most likely reason. As the filler won be retaining fluid. (Even if filler was done years ago, microscopic remnants of filler can do this in some people)

Do you generally experience issues with lymphatic drainage?

Are you on any medication at the moment?

Rswan123 · 18/01/2025 00:57

Hi @Paperclip34 did you ever find out why this happened or a solution? Did it resolve? Am experiencing the same thing 2 months later along with bad dark circles and pigmentation. Company is denying any responsibility and say it must be caused by something else. Am feeling quite devastated as haven’t found anyone who knows how to resolve it other than waiting…. And was sold this as a more or less risk-free treatment …

Whatisittomorrow · 18/01/2025 07:35

@Rswan123 that’s interesting and very disappointing.
Have you had tear trough filler in the past? (Old filler can hang around for years and latch onto swelling you developed following the PN)

What brand did you have? I’m not sure but the drug company might be able to provide support to you, if the clinic isn’t.

AngieBei · 21/01/2025 07:47

I have this issue at the moment so was wondering if it ever got resolved @Paperclip34. I'm 3 months in and its just under 1 eye. Injector said it would go away on tis own but it hasn't and I'm worried what has caused it. I did have a HA filler under both eye some time but this eye had the least and I'd be surprised if it was that but I can't find many other likely causes other than allergic reaction or herniated fat pad. I'm due back to see the injector in 3 days.

Chocolate56 · 28/01/2025 23:19

Hi all,

I was just wondering if the product had hylauronic acid in if? Some do. Some don’t, and I wondered if there was a connection. X

Anothermum25 · 08/03/2025 21:46

Hi, I am experiencing a similar issue, did your swelling go down in the end?

AngieBei · 09/03/2025 15:12

My swelling under one eye still hasn’t gone away after 4 months. I contacted the manufacturer who said bruising under the eye can cause puffiness which takes months to go away. At my age (57) I doubt any stretch in the skin for that length of time will recover so it’s frustrating. I’m backs again to see the injector at the end of march and will then be asking what remedial steps they are prepared to take. If nothing I’ll have to look into scans to see what happening or surgery to try and fix the puffiness.

Anothermum25 · 21/03/2025 17:48

Thank you so much for responding. Have you had any more news about it, did anything work to bring it down? My swelling seems to persist a month after treatment and I constantly look tired/ swollen. Was there anything that worked for you, have you spoken to your injector yet? Mine keeps telling me it’s an allergic reaction but my bags look
more fatty deposits to be honest as well as some puffiness. Would be great to known what works please if anything? Will it go down in time?

Spondoolies · 21/03/2025 18:25

This is interesting, I have had a bad reaction to hyaluronic acid products on my skin so I’m reluctant to try these fillers. Those who had problems, perhaps you could get a hyaluronic skin product to test if you react to it, then you’ll know if that’s the issue.

AngieBei · 22/03/2025 09:34

I’m back again to see my injector in Friday for a 3rd follow up, but I’m 100% convinced the reaction to the injection and swelling I had pushed my fat pad up beyond the orbital rim as I can see the outline of the pad underneath rather than just a fluid type swelling. If that’s the case it’s probably only surgery to remove the fat pad that will help which I’m very frustrated about.

Chocolate56 · 23/03/2025 11:09

as pn is not a filler, did your injector add some kind of filler at the same time? Sorry you’re going through this.. I once got Botox that went wrong and it was so frustrating x

Anothermum25 · 24/03/2025 08:08

Hi, thank you again for sharing your experience AngieBei. Can you tell me if your under eye bag size stayed the same for 4 months or is it getting better? Have you been back to see the injector, what did they say? Did they speak to manufacturer again? Thank you

Chocolate56 · 24/03/2025 12:34

All all, just throwing it out there that I got eye bags from Botox, just in case you also had tox at the same time

VHL · 28/03/2025 10:23

Hi, I found this thread after googling as had a 2nd treatment of polynucleotide under my eyes and it seems to have caused big puffy pockets under my eyes. The first time was nothing like this, small bumps went within 24 hours. This time I have big swellings within my eye socket underneath. I only had the treatment for fine lines, didn’t have any hollowing or bags before so thinking this has just been too much fluid injected? Doesn’t seem like an allergic reaction as it’s only at the injection site. Taken antihistamines and no improvement. Did anyone find a solution who had the same or did it eventually go down. Please help I’m panicking! Thanks
