I only had issues under one of my eyes which made them look very odd. I didn’t go back for more dissolver as whilst I had improvement with it, it intermittently swelled again. I think the PN has partially blocked the lymph’s under that eye so lots of things make it look worse- sleeping on it, lack of sleep etc. The eye mask has got it back to about 80% the same and I’m hoping over time the PN will dissolve from the lymph system and the rest of the swelling will go away.

Thank you, you've given me some hope it will get better and ill be getting the eye mask aswell. Im sorry the dissolver didnt work as you wanted, i was really hoping that was an quick and easy solution. The Pn blocking the lymph under the eye, has anyone given a timeline on when it should dissolve?

AngieBei · 17/06/2025 11:01

The lymph thing is something from my own research and because the size of the swelling changed from time to time everyone agreed that had to come from a lymphatic blockage somewhere. PN can take up to a year to break down but I know I can cope with how it looks now. There’s still a chance that it’s not lymph damage and that the PN pushed out my fat pad making it look worse and if I see any worsening of that area I’ll go back to the surgeon who did my blepharoplasty a few years back and ask him to remove it under local anaesthetic. So there will be solutions for you - you just need to narrow down the cause and then work on the best options for recovery. The eye mask has LED and microcurrent so will have a positive impact on lymph, muscle, skin and potentially fat. I also sleep on a silk pillow which makes a big difference. On the days I don’t, my sleep crease under that eye looks a lot worse. Be reassured you won’t be left with a permanent issue- it just might take time.

Ruthepearce · 17/06/2025 18:48

Just an update from me, I’ve never had filler under my eyes but I have had skin boosters a while ago which contain HA so unsure if this has caused the swelling and saggy eyes but also I agree with @AngieBei that I think the lymph nodes under the eyes have been partially blocked by the PN and this could be to the way it was injected. I did go for some dissolver (micro dose) a couple months ago but it didn’t seem to do much. I went back again today for another micro dose (droplets) and it looks to have made a difference. My left eye is defo worse then the other and again, really swollen in the mornings so I’ll see how they look tomorrow morning. The point of micro dosing (droplets rather than a swoop) is to avoid putting too much dissolver in which then causes the hollowness.

Thank you and @AngieBei for the update. My eyes have gone down a bit but sadly the sausage eyes continue . Its making me incredibly sad and insecure. I haven't tried dissolver yet as ive only had skin booster and botox. But This is looking like my next move will be to dissolve it.
Im looking like im going to need a lower blepharoplasty at some point.
How are your eyes now?

What brand and kind of polymeucleotides did this may I ask if it wasn’t filler? My aesthetics doctor has been raving about polynucleotides but this thread has thoroughly put me off having any more. I had plinest and it did nothing. Sorry you are having all this stress

Thank you, I had plinest. I wouldn't ever recommend pn as while some people have great results if it goes wrong you can't get rid of it. Having to wait 12mth for it to breakdown is depressing and even then it might not get better. I'm im hoping dissolver helps but its not looking promising and definitely a gamble.
Worst of all my eyes look much worse then before. Its really has made more problems than it fixed.
Thankful for this thread as the feeling of not being alone is comforting but I couldn't recommend it at all x

AngieBei · 18/07/2025 13:49

I had Plinest too. In my case Plinest eye was used for the first 2 treatments but as I reacted so well to these he used a thicker Plinest normally used elsewhere on the face or body and it was this I had an issue with. I did contact Plinest directly for help - you might want to the same thing if Plinest was used. They advised leaving the eyes to settle but that the injector should consider imaging under the eyes to see what was happening. Depending on where you had the treatment I can’t see many agreeing fund the cost of imaging. I had mine at a clinic that also undertakes surgery so I think if I’d pushed it I might have got this agreed but for me using the LED microcurrent eye mask each day has improved my eye enough for now.

Hi,
I am back here… I am at over 5 months mark and although the eyes look better and I can continue with life my eyes are still not back to normal. What is your improvement? How much of difference the mask has made? Also, is there an evidence the PY will
completely gone after a year, will our eyes be back
to normal then? I use look less fresh and good 5-7 years older due to treatment, will this completely go on its own after a year? Thank you for sharing your story

Chocolate56 · 21/07/2025 08:32

Hi all, I had PN on my neck around Xmas time. Had good results… now my neck is completely back to how it was before. For me, it didn’t last x

I will never, ever have them again, and certainly wouldn't contemplate it near my eyes! I’m surprised this treatment is still being offered after the reactions some have had to it. I posted my experience earlier. It’s an expensive treatment with too much risk, imo

Appreciate all the replies, Ive not contacted them yet as they will probably say the same thing to me aswell.
Its unlikely I will get any imaging sadly.
I am really hoping something can be done to help my undereyes go back to before, but unfortunately it has aged me alot and now I have even more of an issue with my undereyes than i began with.
Im hoping surgery isn't my only option.
Im Worried the cost and the amount of other procedures and the effectiveness of them trying to fix what the prn ruined would equate to the cost of surgery anyway.
It's all so confusing and depressing.

Do you think the eye mask you recommend would help tighten the skin the prn made worse.
I tried to wait and give it a little time but I feel I gave it enough time now.

Anothermum25 · 26/07/2025 07:15

Hi,

Please can I ask how long has it been you had your treatment done? I’m approaching 6 months mark and although look better than month after the treatment I look a lot worse than the day I had it done. Also how have you heard the PN takes year to dissipate? Is this what the manufacturer are saying? Looking in the mirror upsets me each and every day, I look years older and tired swollen eyes than before the treatment. It’s so depressing. Thank you in advance for responding.

All I can say is never again. In brief, expensive, horrible blebs that took days to go down. There are other threads on this , you might not want them done after reading various experiences!

Allseeingallknowing · 26/07/2025 16:11

I see Helen Flanagan has had them done…

They just want the money don’t they. Aesthetics treatments brings in a large income/revenue, and I honestly think most doctors would offer anything. I’ve been to some who are meant to be “high” in the field and the hard sell on Polyneucleotides is funny. Yet it’s really not funny for those that go wrong. Because of the economy and current climate, people were reducing their spending - suddenly they are peddled as must have injections with no risk and “regenerative medicine.” Or whatever term they want to push that week.

I had a sudden formation of lines that were never there before. All formed straight after the injections. Coincidence? Unfortunately. I don’t think so

whymewhyme · 07/08/2025 06:33

I didnt rate it at all. I saw zero difference

Chocolate56 · 07/08/2025 12:02

Can I ask please… did these problems only occur in those people who’d had filler before? Sorry everyone is going through this. X

I have never had filler, only PN but after 3 sessions they have now gone back to normal .. maybe the bags look bigger but the area they treated has gone down and looks better than it started. I later had a bad reaction to Botox which lasted 10 days. It’s really put me off them now

ForMerryQuail · 14/09/2025 16:39

How everyone looking now? It been over 5mth and my problems still continue.
My eyes have become more sensitive.
My undereyes still have little sausages along them and they swell and make my eyes look even worse.
Still feeling incredibly insecure and currently saving for a lower blepharoplasty.

Will never have them again, expensive, poor results, horrible blebs . There must be more effective and safer procedures than this. I think it should be withdrawn, too risky.

CareerChange24 · 14/09/2025 16:50

Can I ask if you both what kind of injector did your polynucleotides? A doctor, nurse etc? My new injector who does my botox was pushing them onto me the other day really bad. I switched because I got sick of my old one telling me to have filler everywhere. How much is a lower bleph?

ForMerryQuail · 14/09/2025 21:10

Honestly worst thing ive done, definitely better ways im sure.
Sorry that yours isn't better either.
Mine was a nurse and all of her other clients have had amazing results and the product used wasn't cheap and her technique was good too.
I still wouldn't recommend as if it does go wrong not much that can be done to fix it and i dont think we have enough research on the problems or solutions for it.
For a lower blepharoplasty Ive been quoted £2500.

ForMerryQuail · 15/09/2025 13:14

Puffypolyneuceyes · 28/05/2025 21:02

Thanks for all this. Interestingly mine look a bit better after sauna/hot yoga too! Can I ask how high your swelling/puffiness is? Mine is right under the eye - worse one side. I had a zoom consultation with an expert filler dissolver this week in the US - just to hear his opinion and he thought it was very unlikely to be filler as it was so high and close to the eye. Apparently filler swelling (which he treats and dissolves on a daily basis) is typically lower - in the tear trough area but mine is above there. So he concluded it was a fat pad that the moisture in the PN and made swell up. He said looking worse in the morning tied in with this. So now I’m even more in mind to leave it and see what happens and not try dissolving. Thanks again for sharing your experience - it makes so much difference to know you’re not alone and there is some hope!

Hey, just wondering how your eyes are now? Mine sounds very similar and im curious to see how you are now and if you had to go for dissolver or surgery x

dollyblue01 · 15/09/2025 20:58

I’d never have this done again either, just think under the eyes is too sensitive an area and if it goes wrong , you can’t do a quick fix, plus everyone notices eyes.
