To eat two Big Macs in one go

Feel quite gross.

Been a very full on few weeks with work, school, various appointments..just a lot going on, Dd off school sick and me off work and not feeling 100%.
Today we just closed out the world, stayed in pjs, cuddled on the sofa and watched films.
We ended up getting an Uber eats delivery, Dd wanted a happy meal. On the app it said as one of the offers-two Big Macs for the price of one, it cost less that a meal and I wasn’t too fussed about chips or a drink, so I ordered them and ate one after the other 😬 seems very excessive now and I feel the guilt of it. Putting it into my fitness pal it’s 1100, I eat 1200 per day, so that’s more or less it for a day, but because it’s McDonald’s, I’ll likely be hungry later
Anyone else ever done this?

Many times....

HappiestSleeping · 27/06/2024 18:10

And then some.

NoraLuka · 27/06/2024 18:10

Not Big Macs because I’m veggie, but I’ve often done similar with chocolate or biscuits if I’m feeling a bit rubbish.

Miloandfreddy · 27/06/2024 18:11

I voted YABU cos you didn't get fries with it. Couldn't get a McDs without fries. So YABVU.

Simonjt · 27/06/2024 18:12

My order is three mcplants and two large fries, so yeah, go for it!

Branleuse · 27/06/2024 18:12

Its fine. Its not every day

QuestionableMouse · 27/06/2024 18:13

As a one off it'll do you no harm. I've seen people eat more than that at a BBQ or party and no one bats an eye.

AGodawfulsmallaffair · 27/06/2024 18:14

No, but I know I could quite easily. Eat shit loads of chocolate though.

Devilsmommy · 27/06/2024 18:14

I used to do it when they were alot bigger than they are now🤭

TwattyMcFuckFace · 27/06/2024 18:14

This is Mumsnet.

If you've ever so much as sniffed Mumsnet before, you'll know there'll be people patting you on the back and saying they've eaten double that, and there'll be people telling you how disgusting it is and that they can barely manage a McNugget.

As always, your body, your choice 🤷‍♂️

Comedycook · 27/06/2024 18:15

I've never actually had a big Mac....I have had days where I've eaten shocking amounts though. If it's a one off just forget about it. It's hardly the end of the world. Probably not more calories than if you'd had an indulgent main course and a dessert in a posh restaurant

Myfluffyblanket · 27/06/2024 18:17

I once ate a whole roast duck with my bare hands , over the kitchen sink , at three o'clock in the morning .
It was lush .
I have been known to do the same with roast chickens . The stomach wants what the stomach wants .

Thomasina79 · 27/06/2024 18:17

Every day would be unreasonable, but as a one off not unreasonable

Wendysfriend · 27/06/2024 18:19

Oh yes and with chicken dippers and a apple pie 😋😋 They're so small now, 2 bites and one is gone🤣

FrenchandSaunders · 27/06/2024 18:21

Reframe it as two big beef sandwiches for lunch 😋

Its not every day is it, it’s fine

pasturesgreen · 27/06/2024 18:21

Meh, as a one off it really is no big deal.

Misthios · 27/06/2024 18:22

I wouldn't, not because i'm a teeny tiny but because I have a real issue with cholesterol which I am more prone to because of an underactive thyroid. So I have to avoid that sort of food entirely.

But in my younger years, easily could.

Eminybob · 27/06/2024 18:23

I haven't but i reckon I could. I have on occasion had a double QP, some cheese bite things, fries, milkshake and a couple of nugs.

I know people think that mcds is shit but sometimes it is just what is needed to hit the spot.

SpicyMoth · 27/06/2024 18:49

Nahh you're completely fine - I hate maccies chips and never got on with fizzy drinks at all, so I always order 2 fillet o' fish and eat them one after the other!

I'm currently nearly 7 months pregnant and at 5 months I was craving pickles so got two big macs with no chips or drink and extra pickles and ate them one after the other too!

I think if you're not having chips or drink it's totally fine, but maybe that's incredibly naughty of me as well!

theappp · 27/06/2024 18:51

To be fair a Big Mac meal does not fill me up. I do stop there but very begrudgingly and if I ever soon have a few difficult weeks then I'm going to 100% order 2 Big Mac meals both with full fat coke!

TippedOverTheGravyJug · 27/06/2024 18:54

The other week I had the ' hat trick' burger. Large fries , milkshake and happy meal as dc fell asleep and.wanted bed before it arrived.
2 hours later I was eating biscuits. Its not daily so its fine

taxguru · 27/06/2024 18:58

It really won't make any difference. Doing something silly like that as a one off is irrelevant. As long as you're not doing regularly, you're absolutely fine.

I've been a binge eater all my adult life (and half my childhood too!). I used to really get annoyed and upset when I fell off the wagon after a period of not bingeing - so much so that it just caused me to binge more.

Nowadays, I just accept it happens occasionally, water off a duck's back, I try to forget it and start the next day afresh.

BakedTattie · 27/06/2024 18:59

I’m so so jealous.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 27/06/2024 19:00

Yep, with cake or doughnuts!!! 🤷‍♀️😋

longdistanceclaraclara · 27/06/2024 19:01

No. But I could do two 1/4 pounders with cheese. Not a double, two separate one.
Or a 1/4 pounder and a chicken sandwich.

Calories are probably still less than a pret super club.
