To eat two Big Macs in one go

Feel quite gross.

Been a very full on few weeks with work, school, various appointments..just a lot going on, Dd off school sick and me off work and not feeling 100%.
Today we just closed out the world, stayed in pjs, cuddled on the sofa and watched films.
We ended up getting an Uber eats delivery, Dd wanted a happy meal. On the app it said as one of the offers-two Big Macs for the price of one, it cost less that a meal and I wasn’t too fussed about chips or a drink, so I ordered them and ate one after the other 😬 seems very excessive now and I feel the guilt of it. Putting it into my fitness pal it’s 1100, I eat 1200 per day, so that’s more or less it for a day, but because it’s McDonald’s, I’ll likely be hungry later
Anyone else ever done this?

Check the calorie count in large or even medium fries. Then add in a coke OR a mcflurry. Nobody would be starting a thread about once eating a big Mac meal. It's fine.

Mrsjayy · 27/06/2024 19:02

Ooh I love a big mac tbf you didn't get chips or a drink it was your dinner its not the biggest deal.

I once ate a whole roast duck with my bare hands , over the kitchen sink , at three o'clock in the morning .
It was lush .
I have been known to do the same with roast chickens . The stomach wants what the stomach wants .

Whaaat? A whole duck??? 🫣

Although, when I buy a rotisserie chicken for a quick supper and am taking it apart I do eat bits as I go.
(Like a wild animal if I'm really hungry.) 🤣🤣🤣

QuestionableMouse · 27/06/2024 18:13

As a one off it'll do you no harm. I've seen people eat more than that at a BBQ or party and no one bats an eye.

I mean this people could have a couple of burgers and extra bits and bobs nobody would care.

ILoveToCleanSaidNooneEver · 27/06/2024 19:13

I could easily finish off 2 McPlants and a large fries in one sitting 😁

Chickenuggetsticks · 27/06/2024 19:15

I find macdonalds weirdly un-filling so yeah I could probably do that. Would need a chocolate milkshake though.

IAlwaysTellTheTruthEvenWhenILie · 27/06/2024 19:15

My "fuck it" meal is a quarter pounder meal with a side of 6 nuggets. It's rare...but when I do it, I enjoy it...

space99 · 27/06/2024 19:16

Oh easy, I remember that whilst travelling in Oz, they had a deal on Big Macs and it was buy one, get one free. One day, I had 2 for breakfast, 2 for dinner and 2 for tea. Obviously not ideal but it was to keep costs down.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 27/06/2024 19:21

longdistanceclaraclara · 27/06/2024 19:01

No. But I could do two 1/4 pounders with cheese. Not a double, two separate one.
Or a 1/4 pounder and a chicken sandwich.

Calories are probably still less than a pret super club.

I'm with you, I have been known to eat 2 quarter pounders with cheese. No chips but a vanilla shake to wash it down. Damn I could just eat that now.

Alwaystired2023 · 27/06/2024 19:23

Yes I have the eating habits of a teenager - sounds perfectly reasonable to me

My order is three mcplants and two large fries, so yeah, go for it!

I’m by no means a part of the teeny tiny brigade but come on, this is absurdly excessive.

This is Mumsnet.

If you've ever so much as sniffed Mumsnet before, you'll know there'll be people patting you on the back and saying they've eaten double that, and there'll be people telling you how disgusting it is and that they can barely manage a McNugget.

As always, your body, your choice 🤷‍♂️

Have a look at the enormous Chelsea bun thread.
Can't link. Sorry.

DaisyChain505 · 27/06/2024 19:28

My standard order is a large Mcplant meal and a side of cheeses bites. You’re ok.

Jeschara · 27/06/2024 19:29

I hope you enjoy every bite. I am salivating now.

TheChosenTwo · 27/06/2024 19:32

I’d have 2 hamburgers, I don’t like the Big Mac!
Some people eat 2 burgers and more at a bbq, it’s not an every day occurence that you eat like this. Don’t give it another thought.

😂😂😂 Saw that one y/day. 😂😂😂

WiddlinDiddlin · 27/06/2024 19:34

I can't... but my sister can do a Big Mac and a Double cheese burger and six chicken selects...

My best is the Hat trick burger and then a normal cheese burger (no fries though, our local one is shit at fries, they're always under done and nasty and usually cold!).

Still waiting for the 'omg you ate McDonalds, it's not even food, how nasty, I bet you're the size of a house' posters who only ever drink water with a dash of lemon and a speck of lettuce once a week for a treat.

LemonySnickets · 27/06/2024 19:34

Had a Big Mac last week....they are tiny compared to what they used to be! I could probably manage 2 if I didn't have fries, but I have to have fries (with curry sauce) so probably won't ever eat 2!

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 27/06/2024 19:35

2 burgers at mcdonnalds = disgusting
2 burgers at a bbq = is that all you’re having?

it’s not like you do it all the time. Don’t worry about it. Might try it myself some time!

Longsight2019 · 27/06/2024 19:36

Devilsmommy · 27/06/2024 18:14

I used to do it when they were alot bigger than they are now🤭

I don’t remember a massive downsizing of the BigMac?

They've been exactly the same for at least fifteen years.

BobbyBiscuits · 27/06/2024 19:37

I can easily eat 20 nuggets! No regrets.
When I was a teen they did a thing called the mcfeast, aimed at several people. I think it had a big Mac, chicken burger, fish burger and nuggets and 4 fries. I managed that on my own!?
Don't recommend it though, lol.

Testina · 27/06/2024 19:39

You track your calories, you’re on 1200 a day, you are taking to MN for attention of some kind over the non-event of the one-off consumption of two burgers… those things put together are giving disordered eating vibes.
Also feeling guilty. People whose relationship with food is normal, would just think, “ugh feel full - eyes bigger than belly there!” and not give it another thought.

I think that your relationship with food is less healthy for you than the occasional large junk meal.

I came here to say this. People (myself included) at BBQs and buffets will eat more than that.

BakedTattie · 27/06/2024 18:59

I’m so so jealous.

Why ? Anyone can go to McDonald's and buy their food, just do that 😂

But to the OP, eat what you like, I assume you're an adult who can make choices, no need to ask for permission or forgiveness on this one
