To eat two Big Macs in one go

Feel quite gross.

Been a very full on few weeks with work, school, various appointments..just a lot going on, Dd off school sick and me off work and not feeling 100%.
Today we just closed out the world, stayed in pjs, cuddled on the sofa and watched films.
We ended up getting an Uber eats delivery, Dd wanted a happy meal. On the app it said as one of the offers-two Big Macs for the price of one, it cost less that a meal and I wasn’t too fussed about chips or a drink, so I ordered them and ate one after the other 😬 seems very excessive now and I feel the guilt of it. Putting it into my fitness pal it’s 1100, I eat 1200 per day, so that’s more or less it for a day, but because it’s McDonald’s, I’ll likely be hungry later
Anyone else ever done this?

@Testina No disordered eating, tracking them because I’m on a diet and am pissed off at myself now and can’t have anything else and hungry 😩

It’s the combination. Not just the fact you’re dieting, but the fact you feel gross and guilty and especially that you’re posting about a non-event. If your relationship with food is good, you wouldn’t be looking for comments - validation or consternation, or whatever reason.

I can happily eat a Big Mac meal with strawberry milkshake and a cheeseburger chaser and an apple pie. I say go for it!

Disclaimer: I'm a healthy 9.5st and only do this once in a blue moon.

pontipinemum · 27/06/2024 19:49

It sounds like it's not something you're doing every 2nd day or even every week/ month so I'd just forget it. Big mac isn't my thing but I have certainly eat that many calories in one go many times! Possibly even in 1 decadent desert who know.

JoniBlue · 27/06/2024 19:54

Not Big Macs, but I have had 2 filets o fish or 2 of their regular hamburgers in the past, before I had stomach issues.

GigiAnnna · 27/06/2024 19:56

It's fine now and again. Just enjoy it and forget about it. They're not even that big.

Youcantellalotofthingsabouttheflowers · 27/06/2024 19:57

I couldn’t eat 2 big macs in one go but give me an hour and I would certainly make a good stab at the second one.

I could eat 2 fillet o fish though!

TeenLifeMum · 27/06/2024 19:58

No but the slice of cake I had last night was not a normal portion by any stretch of the imagination. I tilted the bowl so dh didn’t see quite how much I had.

mossylog · 27/06/2024 20:04

Have as many burgers as you like but I cannot fathom why anyone would get Maccie Ds as a delivery. That shit is inedible as soon as it gets cold. Seems like a recipe for overpriced disappointment.

Calories don’t expire at the stroke of midnight. No point in punishing yourself for the rest of the day. If you are hungry just have something to eat. Slightly decrease your calorie intake over the next few days to compensate.

AhBiscuits · 27/06/2024 20:07

I've definitely eaten more calories than that in a sitting so meh, no big deal as a very infrequent thing.

maryberryslayers · 27/06/2024 20:11

You should have had fries and a milkshake too.

It's fine, everyone deserves a blow out now and again.

Simonjt · 27/06/2024 18:12

My order is three mcplants and two large fries, so yeah, go for it!

Sounds amazing. 🤩

maryberryslayers · 27/06/2024 20:15

One day of going over your calories won't hurt at all. You just get back on it the next day.

Take 50 off for the next few days and go for a walk if you would feel better.

I once ate a whole roast duck with my bare hands , over the kitchen sink , at three o'clock in the morning .
It was lush .
I have been known to do the same with roast chickens . The stomach wants what the stomach wants .

Absolute legend.

flyinghen · 27/06/2024 20:24

Sounds delicious!

@Testina she probably feels gross at the thought she ate so much fatty food in one go and guilty as she's meant to be on a diet! Totally get it and no i do not have " an issue" with food!

Crikey just have something sensible and crack on with life. If you're hungry you're gonna want to eat more next time. Everything in moderation. 🤷

HappierTimesAhead · 27/06/2024 20:27

It's not pretty but I've done it 💪

ichbrauchenichts99 · 27/06/2024 20:32

I don't think I could eat two myself, but I wouldn't worry too much unless it becomes a regular occurrence!

Sallyh87 · 27/06/2024 20:33

I have been known to eat two double sausage and egg McMuffins. No regrets!

Daisy12Maisie · 27/06/2024 20:36

I would eat a Big Mac meal followed by a McFlurry. I don't think that is much different. You got the second Big Mac instead of chips and a McFlurry.
I'm average build. Not overweight but the higher end of "normal bmi".
I think that's fairly normal as long as you aren't doing it every day.

Lostinbrum · 27/06/2024 20:40

About 20 years ago when I was a poor starving student my friend and I were backpacking in the states on a shoestring. We stopped to eat at a Wendy's in Las Vegas where they had cheeseburgers for about 50cents. I can't tell you how many times we went backwards and forwards ordering more. I must have eaten at least ten 😂it was fantastic

Nellieinthebarn · 27/06/2024 20:47

Now I really want a burger.

Shiveringinthecountry · 27/06/2024 20:48

Well, it's 30 years ago now, but I regularly used to eat two Quarter Pounders with Cheese (extra mustard, no tomato sauce) and two Large Fries as I drove the hour home from work :) Piggy but I loved it.
