Eamonn Holmes -reap what you sow

Just want to say that I love Eamonn Holmes so it's not a bashing thread. Just an observation.

I was thinking about his ex wife and children. He left his young family as his career was more important.
He met (allegedly after they split) this beautiful younger attractive exciting Ruth. Got with her.
But now what does he have? He has ailing health and no wife to be with him in sickness and in health?
Who knows if he had made an effort and put his first family first rather than his career he could have been with someone who would have loved and cared for him in his old age.

It's quite sad.

Plus he's got to sell his Belfast home.. because he owes the taxman. 250 grand.

No evidence from that post that you “love” him. You seem to be gleeful at his bad luck.

Nobody really knows what goes on in a relationship other than the people involved. I'm not going to sit in judgement on him.

Is it true that Ruth felt more like his carer than his wife ?

I always saw him as friendly and empathetic with people. But then there was something going on years ago with Anthea Turner I think,where he didn't seem to be kind. Who knows. She probably wasn't that easy going.

With Ruth being his carer,she probably just fell in to that role over the years.
I wish them both well.

Well for starters she's not a much younger model, they are roughly the same age.
She obviously forgot her marriage vows, in sickness and in health, or does she just pick and choose the vows she keeps?

Not at all. I do really like him. I lthink he is a great presenter/journalist. You can still like someone and not agree with their behaviour. That is why I think the situation is sad.

Also, arent they both the same age, 64? Which isnt v old for people withbaccess to private helathcare etc.

Also the point I'm making is that maybe it's not 'bad luck'.

I used to read his column in the Sun. It would make me laugh he would preach Stoicism in his articles and criticise snowflake generations. Yet he hid behind a female co host when some MRA jumped the stage. Also happy to use the R word to refer to people with ASD.
