Seriously lacking in a) inspiration and b) motivation.

BBQ? Salad? Pizza oven?

What are your Sunday dinner plans?

Slow cooker chicken korma. It's a recipe I haven't tried yet so I'm quite excited!

bloodyplumbing · 19/05/2024 09:58

Roast beef
Baby roast potatoes with garlic and herbs
Salad

😋

I have some mince in the fridge that needs to be cooked and will make a big pot of spag Bol later. Not really a Sunday meal but hey :)

If you're going to BBQ, we had fresh mackerel from the fish shop yesterday on the BBQ.

It was amazing!

pizzaHeart · 19/05/2024 10:01

pasta with veal meatballs and mushrooms in creamy sauce.
still undecided which pasta as we have quite a few

Wow that sounds good!

I'd go for tagliatelle personally.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 19/05/2024 10:04

Dh is making sweet potato ravioli with his pasta machine! Not sure if he's making a sauce or if we will just have them with butter and parmesan. Salad too, with some rocket from the garden.

SherlockHomies · 19/05/2024 10:04

DH is doing a roast chicken with stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, peas, carrots and gravy.

PrincessOfPreschool · 19/05/2024 10:06

Roast chicken but with a jerk rub. Roasted sweet pots and carrots, broccoli because I have loads (hope it's not gone off). Rhubarb crumble for pud

bumface232 · 19/05/2024 10:09

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, stuffing and Yorkshire puds.
Although looking at the weather I wish we'd opted for a bbq tea instead.

onwardandupwards · 19/05/2024 10:11

Baked potato with a range of toppings, so everyone can have what they like, cheesecake for after with some fresh berries and cream.

Shoxfordian · 19/05/2024 10:14

We're going out for lunch, dh will have a roast and I'll have fish and chips

5foot5 · 19/05/2024 10:18

We will be out walking during the day. But this evening I am doing toad in the hole, It is just DH and I so a joint is usually too big.

Tulipvase · 19/05/2024 10:25

At this time in the year I’ve got bored or roast dinners (I love making them in winter/autumn) so today is roast gammon, homemade chips and cauliflower cheese. Possibly fried eggs if my son gets his way.

Fontainebleau007 · 19/05/2024 10:26

King prawn Alfredo 😋

fieldsofbutterflies · 19/05/2024 10:27

Chicken wraps with salad and whatever I fancy picking out of the fridge and cupboards. It's too warm to put the oven on - DH made that mistake yesterday cooking some sausages, lol.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 19/05/2024 10:37

Since it’s in season, an asparagus risotto. It’s just me and dh, though.

I love asparagus, are you able to buy varying types anywhere? I know you can get white, which I've eaten when out but never found to cook at home.

Any tips?

OldTinHat · 19/05/2024 10:41

I'm on my own so never have a Sunday roast. But, today...drum roll please...I'm going to have a yellow stickered M&S chicken thing with roasties and sprouts. I'm sadly very excited!

Moier · 19/05/2024 10:44

Peabody25 · 19/05/2024 10:45

@onwardandupwards what toppings do you do? Could do with inspiration apart from beans and cheese.

broccolienthusiast · 19/05/2024 10:46

Nut butter sandwiches plus loads of fruit on the side!

AuntieMarys · 19/05/2024 10:46

Sweet potatoes with prawns, avocado, tomato and chilli.

ALunchbox · 19/05/2024 10:47

Homemade curry including naan breads which I have never made before. quite excited!

LizzieBennett73 · 19/05/2024 10:49

DH is muttering about putting a steak on the BBQ with new potatoes roasted in rosemary salt and salad. I've got a mountain of veg that needs using up so I'm thinking some sort of roasted veg with chilli pesto and served with cauliflower rice (lower carbing).
